The Legend of Zelda series should never be made into a Movie, it will have way too many critics if not done perfectly, and as far as movies go, I have not seen one that I could classify as perfect, it needs to strictly stay a game, due the the fact that Link doesn't talk so the player can be drawn into the Zelda universe...

There has already been a cartoon show and multiple manga comics about the series, both of which Link had full VA in. I doubt it would make much of a difference if a movie was made about it. It's stupid not to do something just because it may not be perfect or because of fear of negative reviews. One, perfection is unattainable, and two the games themselves get reviews which go both ways. What difference would there be if it were done in a movie?

Not to mention that we all have a different view as to what Link's personality is like or other characters or what life in Hyrule is like. One person's "perfect" wouldn't be another's. That's one reason I usually can't stand fanfiction. We interpret things in the Zelda universe differently. The movie could be good, it could be bad. I say let them try it. If I don't like it, oh well. Someone else might completely enjoy it and vice versa.
I don' think that Zelda would make for a good movie. When I think Zelda I think of adventure and puzzles. The adventuring aspect may be possible to pull off, but Link wouldn't seem right being a Sherlock Holmes type character solving puzzels in 10 seconds.
Good luck to the film makers, though. They had better try their best.
