First Zelda game you played?

At what point did you enter the Zelda series?

Added Ocarina of Time 3D just to get a feel chronologically.

While I had technically tried a few minutes of Zelda 2 and ALttP, it was only for the sake of who I was visiting with at the time. The first game that got me into the series, and the first one I owned, was Link's Awakening DX. Foooooooooond memories.

Well its a long story. Me and my dad got smash bros on the N64, and my dad was like: "Link looks pretty cool!" So he got OoT and MM, and he got me LA: DX. So technically LA is my first game, but my Dad and I beat the others.

The first Zelda game I ever touched was The Legend of Zelda. I was probably about 3 when I played it, and had no clue what on Earth I was doing, lol. It was my cousin's game, lol. The second game I ever played was either Ocarina of Time, or Link's Awakening. I got them both around the same time, so... I have a hard time remembering which one I played next.

I started with LoZ on the NES when it first came out. Saved Zelda for about the 1,000,000,000,000,004th time last night.

ermm, it actually varies. I played NES Legend of Zelda and Ocarina of Time at the same time. But finished Ocarina of Time first :S

NES Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link at about the same time. I was way too young when I played them though (too young for video games right?) so the earliest memory of playing Zelda would be Ocarina of Time.

The first The Legend of Zelda game I played was The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I remember I was always stuck before getting to Dodongo's Cavern because I didn't know I had to get a song to play for Darunia (Saria's). I also remember lending it to my dad's friend so that he could help me (and I also remember him calling Ganondorf "El payaso con capucha", which is Spanish for "The clown with a cape" or "The caped clown"). xP

Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening, was the first video game to capture my emotions and didn't feel just like a fancy high-tech toy. Then I got Majora's Mask which was my first console Zelda game, and I was hooked forever.

This. On good old Game Boy, monochrome visuals, bad contrast, but Link's Awakening was my first official love in video gaming. And it's still one of my favorite games today.

Actually it was Link's Awakening DX, I didn't even know there was a black and white version until years later

My first Legend of Zelda game was ALttP, I still remember how amazed I was when I was 3 or 4 years old.
My first reaction was that it was colorful, bright, and that I wanted to play with it, then about 3 or 4 years later I was able to play with the snes since my uncle let me played with it for the first time.

I remember getting Wind Waker for Christmas one year. I put it into our trusty purple Gamecube and loaded it up. I was filled with amazement at the games color and music. That is, until Aryll was kidnapped by Kind Helmaroc and I put the game away for years out of utter fear

I'm 95% sure Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game. I feel like it might've been Link's Awakening though, but the more I think about it, I remember not having a clue what Zelda was when my mom got us OoT. We must've gotten LA very shortly after.
