OoT 2D Screenshots

Hey everyone, yesterday was the first time I had heard about OoT 2D and what I heard really sucks. Does anyone have any screenshots of it? I'd like to see what progress was made. Thanx

*cough cough*N64 Zelda But no i havent heard of this...nor would i want to. OoT was great and i dont want to ruin it with bad screen shots. Oh and OoT i believe was never made in a 2D form. It wouldnt work. So...ya

well actually Necco, there is a 2D OoT being made, a fan named "The Real Methusela" is making it. He has some demos out, nothing special though. It's neat, i look foward to seeing the complete version. It'll be interesting to see a 3D game made 2D, you can look up the screenshots on google.. thats what i did.

Yeah, but at this rate it will take forever. He's planning two other game remakes too? Not going to happen!

Don't get me wrong, I want to play this. I'm just being realistic.

Don't get your hopes up about seeing the complete version since Nintendo is making another genius move in cracking down on copyright infringements in fangames.

What Hylian Dan said is true.. OoT 2D has to stop according to this update right here on Zelda Universe. Yes, and I wanted to see the game. But now I see that this is a cheap way to get around buying OoT.. I don't think it would of been released before a new game takes over OoT, which then would make it a failed project.. *sigh*

a cheap way of buying OoT, yeah if you just wanna know the story, but OoT on N64 was an experience, and you cant make a "2D" version of that. so the project got pulled out eh? well thats too bad, i really wanted to see a complete version of it....sigh..

I agree with vacumgod on this. It would've been a pretty cool game judging by the screenshots. Maybe Nintendo someday will created the 2D version.

I was REALLY looking forward to that.

I actually am hoping that maybe Nintendo will create OoT on the DS, with 2D graphics. That would be an interesting experience. I do in fact prefer the 2D games, so it would be a treat for me. They would have to be careful, however...

I remember OoT2D!! The screenshots looked great, and I downloaded all the earier demos. It's too bad Nintendo got all copywrightish... I was wondering why Oot2D.com was down... Now I'm sad...

Thanks Hylian Dan. I'd found those too, but was looking for some larger stuff. Guess I missed out on the craze. It doesn't bother me that Nintendo is enforcing their copyright, they have the right to. But to punish a fan of the franchise? That's just wrong.

To be honest, I never saw this project as realistic, and I didn't have much faith in it either. Now from what I been told, it might just appear that all of my initial beliefs were true. However, if Nintendo actually did have anything to do with the disapperance of this project, it still pisses me off, even if I didn't have much left for it in the first place.

Without revealing too much though, it might just look like this guy has made a complete ass out of himself, just to get out of the huge expectations that he managed to create for his project. We'll see though, I'm currently investegating whether or not it's true. I'll keep you updated.

I would rather he 2D-ified Wind Waker. Love to see his best shot at recreating the Deku Leaf in 2D.

Yes, NOA contacted Yahoo! (his host), and shut down his site, but, he is looking (found I think) a new host. Once he gets the site up again, he will finally release the now done Demo 4.
