what was the zelda game that got you hooked on zelda

what was the zelda game that got you hooked on zelda and why.myn would have to be links awakening i borrowed it then i bought it off the person i borrowed it off i was hooked.

For me was LINK TO THE PAST on my SNES...
It hooked me on Zelda. It hooked me on Nintendo. Come to think of it...LttP hooked me into playing video games.
But it raised my expections as to what a game can achieve. The bar was set so high so long ago...I guess that's why I'm picky to this day.

The game that got me hooked on LoZ was the first one I ever played, aLttP on my SNES. There were a lot of great games on the SNES, but aLttP was my favorite. I recall playing through that game several times, just to get every heart, every hidden item, beat the game without dying, etc. aLttP IMO gave OoT some of its hype and set the stage for the classic N64 title. aLttP is what made me buy OoT and MM, and the Zelda series will always have a special place in my heart.

We have a thread exactly like this, and it's still on the front page. Barely, but still.
