People who hate Zelda

Don't this topic get really annoying? When you ask people about Zelda and what they think, and most of the time I get "Zelda sux" and I ask them have you ever played a Zelda game, some of them have not even played one, others just a tiny bit off a friend or whatever, They didn't have not even completed one Zelda game or anything... and that really annoys me, like Zelda is for "lil kiddes" just cuz it got a 8 years+ on it :mad:

Hey I didn't even know what Zelda was till I brought a 2ed hand Nintendo 64 and it came with Zelda Ocarina of Time, I played it and loved it and completed it and got hooked, people should not judge games if they have not even played them

what do u think?

I agree with you, although I'm more of a F.F gamer. Still, it's wrong to say that even if Zelda has a rating of E on it. Frankly, those type of people your talking about might hate any game that is R.P.G or action/R.P.G as they really haven't discoverd the true means of any R.P.G.

Well, V99, I honestly don't see why you would care.

It's there, very ill advised, uneducated opinion. You should respect it as long as they respect your. Chances are they won't, though, so bash away.

Actually, I have met many people who have never played Zelda and had similar (though more mature) opinions on the subject. However, just being around me has changed their ways... One person was against the idea of anything Nintendo or even Console (He enjoyed American PC RPG's almost exclusively, strange since he is Japanese), but now he is an avid OoT fan and plays gameboy more than anyone else his age (Pokemon even. It's kinda sad.).

My advice? If you give a damn about these people, than give them a chance. If you don't, listen to Tigerboi.

I've never really cared about comments like that. People can believe Zelda is meant for kids, people can believe Zelda is too repetitive...

I'll still be the one sitting in my black leather couch playing a Zelda game, enjoying the epic music, drawing an unique sword from its hilt and experiencing the beauty of the landscape. That of course being after I with a fast-pounding heart open a treasure chest, seeing the blinding light shining out of the chest, only to be so happy and curious when I see Link holding the item in his hand(s), hearing the usual 'treasure music'.

Hehe Shadow, that "River of Time" soundtrack sure is inspiring. Now I see why you like them, it sort of re-awakens the Zelda spirit in a person (atleast that is the case with me).

i think you should beat them down with a stick.

I don't think I've heard many people diss Zelda, but a lot of people like it around where I am. Though if I do come across a person who doesn't like Zelda, I chase after then with my pitchfork, yelling my Miniblin war-cry. Actually, I don't do anything because I'm shy and can't bring myself to say anything. I think that if they think it's kiddy or not a good game when they haven't played it, they're the ones missing out. It's their problem.

And just because its rated E doesn't mean its for little kids. It means it can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. I started liking Zelda and playing it when I was very young (of course, I couldn't do much of anything in the game, being little, but I loved watching my brother play), and its stuck with me and is still enjoyable and challenging for me to this day.

Oh well. Some people like Zelda, some people don´t. Some people like cheese, some people don´t. Some people like mugging old ladies, some people don´t. You get the point.

You wanna know what I think? I think you should stop complaining. It's not like the Zelda series is the only one being treated like this.

I dont care what some people like, some like all games, some like games like Zelda and Final Fantasy (me) some like games like Jak 2 and GTA (me, also) some like games like Medal of Honer and Halo (not me) but think about the games you dont like, try to see there point of veiw, they might just not like it, the way you dont like some games, its nothing personal they just dont like it, however, if they insult you or the zelda fans for likeing it, then you can diss them and such.

I don't care if people personally don't like it, that's their opinion. I think this topic is mainly about people who say bad things about Zelda and diss it when they haven't even played it. Otherwise, if they keep it to themselves, its fine that they don't perfer Zelda.

It's just like playing DDR. People who have never even played the game come up and say "it looks gay" or make fun of the other people that are playing. I say, don't knock it until you try it. Have the people who hate Zelda (even though they never played it) try the game. That way they can tell you through experience whether or not they like/hate the game. *

So stating it makes it not ok? Regardless to if they say it or not, it's not like thier opinion is at all jeoprodizing yours or will effect yours in any way. People can say Zelda sucks all they want, I couldn't care less.

Whilst we're talking about people rubbishing Zelda without playing it, how many people do you think scorn the CDi games, etc, without playing them?

Well, I hate FF games-but it's probably for reasons that the FF community believe to be silly.

Just leave it, so long as it's not bothering you, no matter how annoying it may be, it's their lives.

Everyone I ask about zelda thats played it likes it. They also say that it should be called the legend of link though.

If you are implying that Zelda is an RPG, it isn't. It's an adventure series.

Uh, Zelda is actualy an action/R.P.G. But, lets get back onto topic, shall we?
I just have one thing to say, for every game, there is always some a** that's going to hate it, because they never played the game.

In an RPG or action/R.P.G. you gain levels. In Zelda, you don't. An adventure game is a game with some RPG elements, but that doesn't make it an RPG.
