Favourite sidekick of Link?

For me it would be hands down Navi even though she almost always says the same things it almost made me cry when she leaves at the end.... Also Epona is sort of a sidekick since I used her a lot! I think Linebeck is annoying as hell what he said was funny but he looks retarded.

I would probably have to say Midna, just because she's so cool. She also has a real unique personality that makes your interactions with her much more realistic.

Midna's my favorite! I loved her sophistication, wit, and playfulness throughout the whole game. Early on, yes, she treated Link like a slave after rescuing him. However, that shell was broken in no time and we had a powerful force on our side when Link and her became extremely good friends. She needs to be in future installments.

Here are my views for all sidekicks from OoT-ST (or to say all 3D games). I will grade them from a one to ten (one being worst and ten being best).

Navi: She was an annoying fairy that repeated the same things over and over even when your heading in the direction. She is very useful when there are secret holes or locations but other than that...I'd give her a four.

Tatl: Another fairy. Much less annoying than Navi yet quite as useful as her. I'd give her a six.

King of the Red Lions: ... not much of a sidekick. I count it as both a sidekick and a "horse". Doesn't give much help at all so I'd give it a one.

Midna: Actually the best sidekick Link has had. She's got emotion and a story behind her. Very sassy and rude sometimes (like all princesses). Very helpful, maybe too helpful. I'd give her a nine.

Linebeck and Celia: A snoty sailor on the hunt for treasure and a fairy. Linebeck is kind of rude yet comical at some points and Celia is once again a fairy. The two's arguments are quite humorous for me to see which gives them an eight.

Ghost Zelda: The one time she is a sidekick! Not always there for Link because she is EEK! A RAT! EW EW EW! a princess. It's kind of her to put on some armor and help Link now and then with dungeons but other than that she is just there to get her body back. I'd give her a seven.

Ghost Zelda was the sidekick with the most hilarious cutscenes. I loved her reaction when she heard from Anjean that Malladus wanted to occupy her body.

“THAT’S TOO DISGUSTING FOR WORDS!!”

And when she was giving Link that threatening type pep-talk before heading up the tower.

“I’LL WAIT HERE. FROM MY UNDERSTANDING, IT SEEMS TO BE A FAMILY TRADITION.”

King of Red Lions. WW Link was like my brother, he was like my dad. His story was almost as gripping as Midna's (to me). In what other games is your companion something you can stand on?

This is a tough one for me. I want to agree with Linebeck but Midna is right up there too. Midna had a story that just got deeper and followed with the plot of Twilight Princess, while linebeck provided comedy and provided transportation in phantom hourglass. I cant choose lol.

I've always loved Tatl, Navi, Ezlo, and the KoRL.

Navi because she is the first sidekick Link had (in the order of games that I played). She was with me through my first real Zelda experience. Tatl had a personality, and I liked the ringing sound she made. Ezlo and the KoRL were both helpful and humorous, but also serious, depending on the point in the game.

its really hard to choose, Im gona have to say Navi even though she annoyed the hell out of me at times haha but i played Oot before any other Zelda game soo Navi was my beginning haha

I would have to say The King of Red Lions. Not only was he a sidekick, but he actually helped you in a way that none of the others ever have.

in my view midnas the best sidekick, she has the best character development of any sidekick she was also a key part of the story of twilight princess unlike other sidekicks who generally are just put in to aid the player and provide hints (e.g navi)

I like Midna, for the reasons that others have stated: great backstory, funny dialect, a grows-on-you personality, and her weird speech. The only thing that I disliked about her is that she wasn`t helpful in a practical sense, just a decoration of sorts when you were a wolf.
No Zelda side Kick is the superior in my eye. They all bring something new and very extrodinary to Link`s side. This is why my absolute favorite is the boat/fairy/imp/ ghost, Princess of Winged Twili. Be afraid, be very afraid…

This may shock alot of people but I would have to say Navi. Probably just because of the nostalgia I get when playing OoT. I have alot of memories involving Navi. Granted there not all good memories lol.
My second favorite is definitely Midna. I just really like her personality.

Midna just pissed me off, even though she had a good backstory and blah blah. She just hated on me wat too much and I wasnt having any of that. We had beef. So id say the King of Red Lions just because he couldnt bother you, and he enjoyed his peace and quiet, like me. Not like that little ball of noise Navi.

I liked Midna's personality and physical appearance more than anybody's else,but in a practical point of view the most usefull sidekick was Navi.

Either way, I like Midna the best because she played a pretty big role compared to Navi or Tatl (well, that's arguable).

There is not nearly enough Linebeck on this page, so I attempt to add some more. Seriously, he is one of the most charismatic characters to enter the Zelda games, and has the greatest character design ever. Seriously, the scene when the Ocean King promises him that reward (BGM: Linebeck Leaps into Action) is one of my most memorable in Zeldadom.

I salute you, captain Linebeck.

Tatl was my favorite. She was funny imo, and her sarcasm was a nice taste. Her chime got a bit annoying, but I didn't hear it all that often.
And, yes, Linebeck was my second favorite. He always had me giggling tbh.
