Question Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

I for one found them far too easy, and have challenged myself to see how quickly I could beet them or how little damage I could take when I fought them

I thought that all of the bosses I have faced in Zelda games have been average. None too hard, some too easy.

I thought they were kinda in the middle. Not impossible to beat, but not too easy to either.

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

Most of the bosses have been too easy, but there are some good battles in the series, especially Gyorg IMO. The N64 bosses tend to be much harder if you don't bring fairies or potions to the battle, but in TWW I can have 3 hearts and no potions and still not be at all challenged. I do like how Zelda games don't let you just charge at the boss and attack wildly, but often for the first half of the battle you have to survive while looking for a weakness. The same goes for the 2D bosses, some are challenging while others are pushovers.

Depending on the games. They bounce around. In all of the games they have a very very hard boss and then they have just a regular cheesy boss that was just to easy.

Hmm, probably average. Some I had trouble with, and some I didn't.

Gyorg was a good challenge, unless you have the Fierce Deity's mask.

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

They were ok for me, not too hard, not too easy...i think that this is mainly because zelda is practically oriented to a more young audience (especially the 3D games) but i must admit some bosses in the 2D and 3D zeldas made me tought for a sweet time how to beat them.

I think that the boss battles in the Zelda series have been average for me, except for WW. Those were ridiculosly easy. I hope the next few Zelda games have more challenging bosses.

Try beating Shadow/dark Link (w/e he is called) without any glitches... You will swear and curse your controller for the first few times, then you will bea thim without taking a hit and you won't know why...

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

Okay..... I didn't get my question answered but it really does depend on which game really..... I mean AoL was probably the hardest other than afew select enemies.....

I do however think that bosses aren't really meant to be impassible in Zelda as in Final Fantesy or games of that sort... They are just there to test if you have the skills you need for the next dungeon and as a kind of review of the dungeon you have just beaten...

I personally am working on beating OoT MQ with only 3 hearts and no fairies.... talk about frusterating.... I really am getting tired of overly easy bosses though...... I face them again just so I can have some fun messing around really...

Other than those facts and beliefs I will add that Zelda is not supposed to be overly hard just fun and very addictive if I may.

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

I think the bosses in wind waker are laughably simple, the entire game was simplefied. When an octorock spits at you it doesnt matter if your shield is facing a different direction as opposed to directly facing him,the rock will bounce back regardless, hmmmm.
However it is still an awesome game, games of course should not be judges on there difficulty but the entertainment and enjoyment the player gets from the experience.

I agree I have had to test myself to make them more challenging. Most of the bosses are challenging when you dont know what to do, but it dosent take long for you to figure out thier weakness and once you know that they are a piece of cake.

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

The bosses are not easy to beat, and they are not hard to beat. They are made just right for all Zelda fans. That is one reason why i am a fan, the difficulty of bosses in dungeons

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

The only bosses I found hard in the entire series are Shadow Link (AoL) and Majora's Wrath. (without the use of oni Link of course).

Sure, I find most of the bosses in the franchise easy, but they don't have to be hard to be fun to fight. I thought like....2 of the bosses in OOT were fun. (phantom Ganon and Bongo Bongo.) With MM it was just about all of them, and in WW it was all except Puppet Ganon.

I usually stomp every boss in a Zelda game with no trouble at all.

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

Does no one even read anything other than the first post?!

I'm really getting angry at how you people respond without a thought....

If you can go through a boss without getting hit that isn't something to be proud of... It means you are a complete lier and going through a Zelda game everyday isn't really possible....

The reason the bosses aren't impossible in any of the Zelda games is the fact that it is rated E-for everyone not I-for impossible like most you people seem to think it should be.... Zelda is not a complete and total RPG like most you think it is.... It is in fact an Action-Adventure-RPG thingy....

Zelda wasn't meant to be incredibly hard and/or impossible to people... It is mere entertainment to you people who like dying every six minutes...

I personally think if you like to fail on your quest every few minutes lets test if you really like to die?

Have none of you figured out the meaning of the bosses? They are for a slight challenge on solving puzzles that you previously solved in their specific dungeons.

So if you like RPGs stick to Final Fantesy.... If you like dying try Halo on legendary when you first buy it. If you like an impossible challenge try drinking water upside down while attempting to play Row-row-row your boat with a rubber band while teaching a pig how to fly.

If you want Zelda to be difficult try to beat OoT with only three hearts and no fairies.....

I despise people like you

Re: Were the bosses in the Zelda Series too easy for you?

One thing I like about the bosses in MM is that depending on your fighting style they can be incredibly hard, incredibly easy or somewhere in the middle.
For example, with Gyorg if you fight him underwater as a Zora using your boomerang fins to bring him down he is very hard. If you swim and use the Zora shield he is hard. If you attack from the platform with arrows he is easy. If you wear the Fierce Deity Mask he is a complete pushover.

Likewise with Majora you can beat it in a minute with the Fierce Deity Mask and then tell everyone that Majora is a stupid boss because it is so easy. Or you could try fighting it as Link without using any masks. The first phase can be very tricky if you try to attack the mask's backside with your sword. Recently I fought Majora with the Kokiri Sword and one fairy. Shortly after the battle with Majora's Wrath began, I ran out of arrows, due to the demon shattering the only pots while I was across the room. I took a heavy beating trying to find new ways to attack, and I ended up winning with half a heart left.

You can replay all the MM bosses as many times as you like, so if you are looking for impossibly hard bosses try replaying them putting certain limitations on how you fight. Try going through all the bosses with three hearts and the Kokiri Sword. If that's too easy then try beating as many of them as you can as a Deku Scrub.
