How do you pronounce names from the Zelda universe?

I don't know what "naf" is :S

One I've always had trouble with is Deku. I'm undecided on wether it is like:
day-coo
d-eh-coo
dee-coo
and then what do you empahsize? The first or second syllable?

Then there's the pronounciation of Vaati... my accent seems to change whenever I try to say it.
I know it's vah-tee but the elongated "a" and the sharp "i" at the end but when I say it, I speak quite quickly and end up saying it softly at the beginning but making a strong sound at the end sort of like
vfah-tyee
also, if you say it in a Glaswegian accent it sounds like "fatty"

Again, it sounds better to me when I say it quickly, beginning with a soft sound and then ending on a soft sound too

Because of the stupid amount of time I spend learning to pronounce Japanese language, but to me I can't help but use quite an unecissary accent when saying Zora, Goron, Kokiri etc

and I know it's a bit weeaboo-ish but I do like to say Rinku and Zeruda... I know that's not how it's spelt in the english version but its fun to say... should I stop doing that?

Pretty much Spanish style:

Zelda = Cell-Dah

Saria = Sah-reea

Zora = So-rah

Deku = Deh-coo

etc.

"Ma" as in Mud and "Lon" as in Long

"Sa" as in Sorry and "ria" as in aria

"Il" as in eel "i" as in Wii and "a" as in the u in hug

I pronounce Malon as Mama (discard one ma from this) + lorn (with silent r).

And pronounce Ganondorf as cannon (replace the c sound with g as in 'go' sound) + dork (replace the k sound with f as in 'fun' sound).

I didn't read through this whole thread, so I'm not sure if anyone else does this..

I've always pronounced "Saria" just as "Sarah." I honestly thought it was just another way to spell it.

as for the rest of them, I think a lot of people pronounce most names the same, it's just hard to really portray how you actually speak it when you're typing.

Fi- Fye (as in fine)
Ghirahim- Gi (as in gimmick) - rahim
Saria- Se - rya
Epona- E - po - na
Farore- Fa - ro - re
Koume- Ko - oo - me
Kotake- Ko - ta - ke
Navi- Navi as in navigator
Tael- Tail
Tatl- Tattle
Aryll- E - rill
Ilia- Ee - lya
Nayru- Nai - ru

From a breakdown I tend to sound them either like in Japanese (Koume, Kotake) or like my home language (Portuguese) (Epona, Farore), and some are me trying to sound like I'm speaking English (Tael, Tatl, Saria, Aryll)

(A letter by itself (as in e instead of ay or a instead of ah) is basically pronounced shortly)
