Alternate Universe?

I was reading some posts about Termania being and Alternate Universe. Where in the world does it say that? I always thought that it was just a country next to Hyrule that you can enter through the lost woods. Explanation please?

The fact that it has characters identical to those found in hyrule, a different looking moon, and different gods should make it obvious.

also the fact that link goes through a warp/ dream type sequence before he enters termina would give it away

also i would probably figure that if they were 2 adjacent countries it would be much much easier to travel between the two.

It's been confirmed by Nintendo to be an alternate dimension.

I'd move this to N64 Zelda, seeing as it belongs there, but since I can't see much need for this thread any longer, I'll close it instead.
