Question Meet the King

I haven't played much of the Zelda games but I was wondering if you got to meet and/or see the King of Hyrule in any of them.

Re: Meet the King

Well, I think the only game that shows the king is WW, where you meet Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule.
Oh, and Alttp, at the begining and end it shows the King.
The was some offical art of the King from Aol, but I don't think he was in the game.

Re: Meet the King

You get to see the King in the WW, which is the King in OOT, since him being sealed unde the ocean with his kingdom. That's about the only time you actually see, and talk to the King.

Actually, the King might not be the same one as in Oot, as he was sealed
under the sea when Ganon escaped the second time, and so could be a
descendant of the Oot king.
Seems like a long time for someone to be alive, but if they were frozren, then
they might not age.

Hmm...

No, it couldn't be the same king as in Oot, because Zelda (Oot) was dead,
and so her father (Oot King) must also have died, so the WW king would
be whoever married Zelda (Oot), or whoever inherited the throne, unless
the WW king is zelda's (Oot) son...or grandson. I'm confused

Re: Meet the King

The more I think about it, the King doesn't have much say in Zelda games. I mean, even in AoL the Prince was one of the main characters, but the king...not so much. I think for Zelda'05 there should be cut-scenes showing the King passing a law or something (for example: have a curfew for children under 18 y/o)... and then the game would be effected by it for a little bit until the problem is solved.

It shows it in the intro, just watch it. The king only appears in tww and alttp as far as I remember.

Re: Meet the King

I always wondered why you can never meet the king in OoT. Maybe you couldn't because he doesn't have much of a part in OoT, or maybe the creators ran out of pixels to create the king. Verrry interesting.

but zelda ran away to the tops of the mountains when hyrule flooded. either that or she was in the chamber of sages.... either or. Look at the timeline as we have figured so far:
Link defeats ganon and ganon is sealed away. a few MONTHS later link goes to Termina. ganon breaks the seal again and nobody comes. then the gods flood hyrule. zelda runs away to the top of the mountains but her father stays in hyrule bcuz he loves it. he is frozen and zelda die of old age. (i assume) more likely than not, it is the king from OoT
