You know you play too much Zelda when...

ok, just what the thread title says, stuff that you do irl that seems influenced by playing too much Zelda

I'll start

I know I play too much Zelda when:
- I dream I'm a Goron rolling around in circles
- my bf tells me that I sound like a Zelda character when Link speaks to someone wearing the Mask of Truth (that was cos of this morning when I said to him "I was all cosy in bed and dreamt I was a marshmallow")
- I make my phone ringtone a Zelda tune
- I wonder where on earth I can get another heart piece
- it seems normal to drop down hidden holes and open a chest for rupees

I'm sure I'll have more laters :cool:

You know you play too much Zelda when you create a thread at Zeldauniverse entitled "You know you play too much Zelda when..."

Haha! Sorry, I've seen that said on other forums so I thought I'd give it a go and see what results I got.
Anyway, here's some.
-
You wonder why you get thrown in the slammer for breaking and entering then smashing the victim's property with a sword.
-
You wonder why you start to drown 'cause you tried out some iron boots whilst wearing blue clothes.
-
You call your kid Link or Zelda... or maybe some other name from the series.
-
You jump on a log and swing a stick around like it's no one's business then wonder why nothing happens.
-
You get arrested for pulling over headstones in search of a hookshot.

YOU KNOW YOU"VE PLAYED TOO MUCH ZELDA WHEN...

You're room is littered with a one foot deep layer of pizza boxes and coke/beer cans.

You're neigbors call the police because they think you have died.

You are fired from your job due to excessive abscense.

In your science class you grab one of those meter sticks and re-enact Link pulling the master sword out of the pedistal, pick up your textbook, pretend it's a shield, and threaten the teacher that if he/she doesn't release Zelda, they will be destroyed by the Master Sword.

You leave your house and cannot see for an hour.

You need a thumb transplant.

Your pet dies.

You notice that your clothes smell like a locker room on a bad day.

All the letters in your alphabits cereal spell ZELDA.

The only color in your wardrobe is green, red, and blue.

You walk around the neighborhood picking up boulders looking for secret grottos.

You go to the local cemetary and push over all the gravestones looking for Dampe's Ghost.

You hum the Hyrule Overworld Theme every waking hour.

A message appears on the TV that says "Do you have a life?"

You actually believe every single one of those ludicrous Triforce rumors.

The Electric Company turns off your electric (from non-payment, played Zelda so long) and you hook your N64 and TV to a generator.

You constantly walk around with a magnafying glass in front of your face because you think it will reveal an invisible treasure chest.

You robbed a Toys R' Us truck en route to a store on Nov 21, just to get a Zelda 64 before anyone else.

You make a pair of Iron Boots, put on some blue clothes and sink yourself to the bottom of a deep lake because you swore there was a Heart Container Piece down there.

You go outside and put all the bugs you find in bottles.

When the clerk in a store asks if you are paying by cash, check, or charge you say "Rupees."

You have an N64 up on blocks. (Don't ask me why I put this here - I figured it kind of goes)

When your mom tells you to go to bed, you say "But I've only been playing for 3 weeks!"

There's an butt-shaped imprint on your chair.

People use you to hang their clothes on.

You call your girlfriend Zelda, and when she questions you about it, you say Ganon has her under his evil spell.

You talk to a tree and wait for it's mouth to open so you can find the dungeon inside.

On an application where it says Race/Ethnic Origin you put Hylian.

You continuously talk to funny looking rocks thinking they are Gorons and call them "Brother"

You keep the Gold Version of Zelda 64 in a safe-deposit box at the bank.

You actually eat, sleep on, and (heh...heh...) Zelda.

When someone sits next to you on a park bench you say, "Lafe is like a Bombchoo Bowlin' Game', you jus' neaver know what yure gonna to git."

You build an elaborate colonaded shrine and put your Zelda cartridge on the alter.

You take apart the cartridge because you know for a fact that the Triforce is in there, and Nintendo has to be hiding it somewhere.

All the months on your calendar are marked with two words in Big letters, "PLAY ZELDA."

You know you spent too much time watching the Zelda cartoon when your sister or mom says something and you respond "Hey! Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, princess!"
(Ugh, I've had to stop myself from almost saying that on numerous occasions )
I know that technically isn't from a Zelda game, but I had to post it.

You know you play too much Zelda when...

- You hum the Bolero of Fire in class hoping to warp outside

- You no longer think skirts on guys are wrong

- Every sound on your computer is from a Zelda game

- You disect a frong in Biology class, you start saying "Ohoyy Ohoyy, you must tell King Zora thank you for me", then run out of the classroom with the eyeballs

- When you drive by an area with horses, you whistle Epona's Song to see if any horses follow you

- You hit statues and run away screaming "THEY'RE AFTER ME!!"

And this last one my friend actually did...

- You know you play too much Zelda when you get a tattoo of a Golden Triangle in your left hand...that, I must say, is either dedication or stupidity.

heh well, if I ever got a tattoo I would get it of a triforce too probably, except it's not really invididual, too many other people have it, some people have it really really badly done, I saw one that was like orangey and red flames, as my bf said "if the triforce really looked like that, I wouldn't bother saving Hyrule"

You know you play too much Zelda when...
(I actually did these things)
-you get your little brothers obssessed to the point when they want to make toy swords and sheilds
-you start to releive an own actual "story" of zelda in your head-if you arn't already writting one
-your little sister has you play barbies w/ her and you dress ken up in green clothes and call him link.
-your little brother only loves you because you play Zelda
-you spend the rest of your summer on a zelda website, trying to get some ideas of what the next zelda game will be like-even if its YEARS before you can get it

(made up ones)

-your mom looses her voice so you give her a jarfull of frog eggs
-you catch fireflys in a bottle
-your boyfriend wonders why you said "Link" instead of his name last night....
-you where your bunny ears whenever you go to the post office or get the mail from the mailman-just to make him jeleous
-your main hobby includes playing zelda, and doing all of the above

I have done some of those, as well...I've hummed a warp song to try to get out of class.

But the main thing for me, I know I play way too much Zelda when -

- I've beaten every Zelda game released in the US

- I can beat and get everything in Ocarina of Time, Link's Awakening, and A Link to the Past without any help from a player's guide

I know, it's sad, but hey, I feel it'll help me out someday...like on Jeopardy! or something...

oh also

- when you scorn those who use guides, but buy them anyway, just so you have a nice collection of all things Zelda

lol, yeah...among the collection are little things found in flea markets, like Pez Dispencers (spelling is probably wrong, yeah I know lol). And the player's guides usually have a poster or something inside =D.

You Know you've played Zelda too much when...

You camp outside a gamestop awaiting the arrival of a nww Zelda game

You start wearing Zelda merchandise (watches, t-shirts, etc.)

Hmm..... I'll try:

-When you dig a whole lot of holes in your yard looking for spiders and fire demons and snakes
-(Continuation of the hole one) Once your holes are dug in your yard, your parents yell at you and you say: "It's okay, they'll disappear once I walk onto the next screen."
-When you start calling snakes "Ropes" and bats "Keese".
-When your path is blocked by larges rocks and you hum "The Song of Time."
-When you hit walls with a sword and listen to the sound they make to test if they are weak enough to blow up with bombs.
-When you jump off of a tall cliff carrying a large leaf.

Lol or carrying a chicken. Believe me Ive tried man

u know u've played too much zelda when....

- you try jumping off a house holding nothing but a chicken

- you go blind from trying to aim home-made arrows accurately at the sun

- you start askin granite for the latest gossip

- at haloween u try to play the song of healing to all the kids in masks using a cereal box ukalaele whilst wearing a fish suit and a snorkel

- u watch gardeners world to see when bomb flowers come into bloom

i'll think up some more l8r

hmmm...i wonder where the heck you could buy bombs these days without getting in trouble....lol

-You sleep outside the Target store, or, better yet, you sleep in the closet of your videogame store the night Zelda '05 comes out so as you'll be the first one to get it!

-You are playing the Sims computer game, and you make two sims look like Link and Zelda or Link and Malon. (i made the sims be Link and Zelda. Only i never really included the cap because i don't know how)

- You are in a store with your friends, and they want to buy some bikes to ride around a parking lot of a baseball field or a track at a school, you see Zelda '05 and go: "Screw the bike thing, i'm buying this!"

-You are a member of more than one Zelda forums (Me)
