Hardest Zelda Game Ever

What was the hardest Zelda game you've ever played, beaten, etc.

Mine was Ocarina of Time, I beat it about 3 1/2 years ago and it took me 1 1/2 months to beat it (Without Cheats). Even though I beat it so long ago, the game still has me hooked.

When I was new to gaming, I thought all Zeldas were very hard. Now I have much more experience, and I can beat most Zeldas with ease. Except the Adventure of Link. The battle system in that game is so intense that you need to focus 100% at anytime, and the stakes are HUGE. If you die three times you have to go back to the beginning point of the game and make your way all the way back to where you were. And the Great Palace is intense. There are so many obstacles on the path that reaching the dungeon is half the challenge. By the time I reach Thunderbird I have already lost at least one life and a good amount of health. And Thunderbird is in my opinion the hardest boss in the Zelda series.

Well I am a new gamer and I havent really played all the old Zelda games. However I have gotten The Legend of Zelda: Collectors Edition so I have played them all and by far Adventure of Link has to be the hardest I havent even gotten to the end yet. 3D Zelda is a piece of cake but 2D Zelda is pretty challenging.

I'll have to go with Adventure of Link, definitely. I'll actually have to dig up a walkthrough on it eventually, I'm not a walkthrough type person until it comes to all of the secrets, etc.

Well, I will go with OoT.. it took me a couple of months to beat it.
And I haven't played the older games o.o

I will have to go with Majora's Mask. It was the first game I have ever beaten without anyone's help. The Great Bay Temple was hard for me to do, as well as Snowhead Temple (damn you, Goron! Why... won't.... you...jump that freakin' gap!!!)

For me it's Adventure of Link. ( It was hard )

Definally MM. I mean, the fact that your timed and the sheer amount of stuff in the game. I don't think It's possible to beat this game thourally w/o a guide.

Aol was nothing when it came to finding items and navigating palaces, but it is by far the hardest to stay alive in, witha maxed out stats and all heart containers and magic containers, it's still hard to get to and beat thunder bird though after that you fought the easiest final boss ever, just duck in a corner and continuously stab your sword and dark link will just run into your sword untill he dies.

When i started to play on zelda, i thought Ocarina of Time was a tricky game, but as a got into it more and more and played on more and more zelda titles, i got used to it and found zelda games fun and enjoyable to play.

But, then i played on Adventure of Link. This game is now my hardest Zelda game ever. It has a leveling up system, that in order to make the game easier, u have to level up link. And the annoying thing about doing this is if you die, u have to start leveling up again from 0 (Your current level stays). It is hard when u are a level 4 trying to level up from 0 points.
It has to be the toughness of the bosses and enemies that really make this game hard.

adventure of link comes first, Loz comes second and MM comes third.

I never really found OOT challenging.

I beat OoT in a week, I think the hardest part in that game for me was an eye you had to shoot in the forest temple to untwist the hallway. LOL, talk about a game that is only hard because you overlooked something so simple.

If we're going by length of time it took to beat a game that would have to go to LA which took me 2 years if only because I was 7 and lost interest in it after getting stuck on dungeon 3 for some silly reason.
