Link in green

The green tunic makes a Zelda game for me, if they gave him a whole different get up it just wouldn't feel right.

Green tunic is one of the ingredients for Zelda. So far, no one has voted against it, but if anyone does, it's not a dress, it's a tunic, many goes wore those in the Middle Ages, along with tights.

Well, if Link's default tunic gets its color changed from green to something else I'd be pretty happy. The tunic's completely OK by me.

Keep the green tunic. It would be weird to see Link adventuring in anything else at this point. I mean, why change what we grow up with? that would be like if they suddenly made Sonic green or something.

for me it`s very important for Link to keep his tunic.. Green! the only thing I would like to see a little changed is the looks of the tunic. the only visible change I saw with the SS tunic from TP was that he did not have the arm coverage. so I say, keep the tunic green, but with a little changed look!

What? Introduced? I guess we're disregarding the way he changed his colors when you got magic rings in LoZ or used magic in AoL or the colored mail from LttP.


As for his actual clothes and not simply colors, Nintendo should go the Assassin's Creed II route, giving Link an outfit that's both recognizable and coincides with the setting's fashion ideas. Also letting us purchase dye jobs but starting in its original color scheme.

I mean, seriously, AC2 freaking nailed the costume aspect for Legacy Characters.

Keep the tunic green, without the tunic it doesn't feel like Zelda. Why, you ask? Well, it just so happens that I feel that since the tunic has been used since the first Legend Of Zelda in 1986, I feel it should carry on to the rest of the series.

The tunic is fine. I voted unsure. Like, in Oot, they had him running around in just a tunic as a child...is that even historically accurate? I always see medeival men wearing pants or tights beneath the tunic. Anyway, that doesn't matter much now. I don't think they can change the green, that's Link's thing, you know? Maybe they can add a bit to his outfit to make him look more hardcore, like more (but not too heavy) armor. I liked the additional armor that was added in TP. In ALttP, you get a cape at some point. Imagine Link all made up in armor and the cape thad be pretty sweet.

I think they could really do with giving him a make over or something.

If Link never wore green, three things would happen: #1:Link would look boring. #2:The world would fall into mass destruction. #3:This guy wouldn't look cute.

The famous Hero's Clothes is an icon for the Zelda series. It is was keeps the medieval theme throughout the series. If Link were to wear pants, that would be the day I - wait. I mean like denim jeans 'cause in Skyward Sword, Link has baggy under pants (not tighty whities) so when Link wears modern clothing, that would be the day I will hate Zelda. Well not really cause its the coolest game out there no matter what.

^ You've got a point there Mandrag. That would be cool to see Hyrule in the modern era and Link in modern clothing. I might change my mind to "I'm not sure".

Link's good for the earth he's subliminting promoting a green earth and global warming!

I'd personally wouldn't want a new set of clothes, I'd personally prefer palette swaps and jazz. Maybe a black tunic after these years. The Goron tunic was a classic, and I hope they bring it back (>.<). Maybe even a white one, heck. There might even be ones you could use as camouflage for areas (Green for Forests etc.).

Even if they don' have 'powers' I'll still parade around in my favorite. =)

They do that constantly when a Zelda game has a brand-new style introduced. Link's tunic will forever remain green, but the style of it differs to suit the graphics and style.

he looks fine, and it's how he's supposed to look, but we should have an option to give him slightly different clothes in new games.
