A Link to the Past for NES/Famicom
I've got this rare game I'm looking to sell now. I can't tell if this forum frowns upon selling threads or not, but figured the item would make this acceptable.
It's an unofficial port of ALTTP to the NES/Famicom. You can screenshots here: http://www.geocities.jp/rinkaku89/pa..._fc_zelda.html I don't think it's generally known to many yet., since this Japanese site is the only one that's mentioned it as far as I know. The music in the game isn't Zelda at all, one of its faults compared to the original. It also doesn't perfectly follow the original game, as in layouts aren't exactly the same etc.. I might sell it to someone if they want it, I'm mostly seeing if there's any interest or if anyone wants to make any offers? I'm considering eBaying it but thought I'd check with a Zelda community first to see if it's worth just selling it privately. I don't know what else to say about the game itself, but if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Thanks! |

Re: A Link to the Past for NES/Famicom
If this is real (and it sounds suspiciously like some form of a hack), I dont think I would be interested in buying it. I'd rather have the original, accurate copy of ALttP. I've never heard of something like this, but I've read about a lot of fake cartridges for games like Earthbound and its prequel Mother having fake cartridges made and sold to trick people. This all sounds far too fishy to me.

Re: A Link to the Past for NES/Famicom
I'm hoping you're completely aware that this IS an UNOFFICIAL port of the game to Famicom? I'm not making some elaborate hoax here.
What you're thinking of for Earthbound is probably those reproduction carts that are made and sold to people who want to have something that wasn't officially on NES cartridges. Some people that buy those end up auctioning them on eBay for loads of money, pretending that they're official prototypes when really they're just reproductions using a ROM of the leaked English translation. I don't agree with how people doing that of course, but it's not within my control. And of course, if you want the original LTTP by all means, have fun. This is of course for people that'd like..actually be interested? Because it's an obscurity and all...you can say it's for serious collectors. Let's just get this clear(and why I'm going this far is beyond me as I've gone through this problem on boards elsewhere because people aren't familiar with pirated games and yet they refuse to accept a thing I say): this is an unofficial, unliscensed port of the game from a Chinese company made in 2005. I'm not looking to swindle anyone. It's not fake. Proof it exists, besides the Japanese website I didn't make up? Right here actually: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Anz5ZqlSBJ8 |
