Little pet peeve of mine
I mentioned before on another topic that I like to watch Zelda walkthroughs when I've already beaten the game because it's cool to see how other people play and how I measure up. Sometimes I think about doing my own. Especially Majora's Mask since I know that game the absolute best.
I just get annoyed with one little thing, and it's not even a big deal really. I can't watch walkthroughs where the player rolls Link the ENTIRE time. Not on occasion, not often, but the entire time. He never walks throughout the whole game from beginning to end. Don't take offense if you do that. I just posted this to find out if I was the only one who felt that way. |

That irritates me too, especially if they keep the sound in.
Then you're watching several hours of "hyah, hai, grah" etc.

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
I'm bad about doing that in hyrule feild in OoT, but to my knowledge that's the only game (and the only part of that game, besides ganons tower ending) that I do that. I could see it being annoying in the long run.

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
I agree, it does get irritating. I admit I've done this a lot, but I think I only do it in OoT. In MM, I just either turn into a Deku and spin around, or turn into a Goron and roll.

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
I do it sometimes too when I'm in a hurry so on occasion doesn't bother me. But what I mean are those walkthroughs where it's nothing but rolling and the only time Link walks is through a door. I understand being impatient through large areas, but come on, why are they always in such a hurry? lol

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
Often, people who post videos may actually be doing a speed run, in which case they have Link constantly running backwards.
I have to admit, I usually have Link rolling or running backwards as well, to save time. |

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
I do constantly roll Link since it is faster then running (not significantly but a little bit) but if I go into a town or dungeon I start to run (yes that's right run not walk) because I end up rolling to the doors over and over and that gets me really annoyed at the game

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
I never actually did this much in MM. In OoT you had to cross Hyrule field every so often and then, as I stated before, is pretty much the only time I would roll. In MM your destinations are never to horrible far from where you started, and if it is it usually has something to do in between points. Kill monsters, cut grass, do mini and easter egg stuff ect. ect.

Btw, I decided to get a copy of Four Swords adventure since I wanted to get the full use out of my gamecube. I like the single player action of controlling all the Links, but I can't help that when they all go Hey at once it makes me think of that song from Robin Hood Men in Tights. XD |

Re: Little pet peeve of mine
NintendoCapriSun makes the best Zelda Walkthroughs in my opinion here the first part of it-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmuU7vY6mDo If you like it check out the other ones too or the Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time walkthrough he made as well. I agree when people make walkthroughs and they don't talk or just speed through everything it is boring to watch... But this guy on Youtube adds comedy and an awsome well-thorough walkthrough.
