12 track zelda album

Okay, so today I was listening to the wonderful Ace Attorney Orchestrated Album on my iPod, and I thought, damn, why don't Nintendo ever release any orchestrated promotional stuff as wonderful as this? The only Zelda music I've heard from an orchestra has been the 'main' theme over and over and over, or the two promotional tracks used for the Twilight Princess trailers.

Sure there's Big Band, Video Games Live, this track from the Boston Symphony Orchestra that Gametrailers uses in EVERY BLOODY VIDEO ABOUT ZELDA EVER as well as the now rather well-known Zelda Reorchestrated, but they're either incomplete, or merely synthesised to a high quality; not really live. Nothing that holds a candle to the Ace Attorney album.

So I guess my first question would be, would it be a good idea to release such an album? Perhaps by the same guys who did Galaxy's wonderful soundtrack?

My second question, and one I've been considering all day, is if Nintendo did decide to make a promotional album based on the Zelda soundtracks and, lets be hypothetical here, the album were 12 tracks long, which tracks would you want to see performed by an orchestra for it?

My choices? In order:

1. Opening (OoT)
2. Overworld Theme (LttP)
3. Death Mountain (Various)
4. Hyrule Castle Theme (Various)
5. Ganondorf's Theme (Various)
6. Clock Town (MM)
7. The Final Hour (MM)
8. Title Theme (WW)
9. Ocean Theme (WW)
10. Theme of Twilight (TP)
11. Midna's Theme (TP)
12. Zelda's Lullaby (Various)

Hopefully some of you guys will have some good ideas. : )

I've heard orchastral versions of most OoT songs, by various performers. Seems like a good list you've got, I'd buy it.

Add Ganon's final boss theme(OOT), the OOT ending credits theme, song of healing, Molgera Battle(WW), and the Light Spirit's theme(TP), and I'd definately buy that!

I was kind of sticking to twelve tracks I thought would be good on one album. Those are all great choices though.

On second thought yea, some more tracks would definitely be needed. Still good though.

Actually, (if this is any help to you), there is something of a orchestra album of Legend of Zelda! It's not the same thing, but it's music you listen on your ipod. If you go to itunes store, then click search and type in Legend of Zelda you'll get this wide selection. Scroll down till you see The Legend for Zelda Podcast, (the artist is Tom, and click on subscribe. It's free so you shouldn't have to pay for anything. You should click refresh once it's done downloading and you should get 30 songs.

You seem to be forgetting Hyrule Symphony, Ocarina of Time Reorchistrated, Majora's Mask Orchestrations and Sound and Drama.

But they already have fantastic orchestrated arrangements... so, yeah, no point in hearing them for the upteenth time, imo.

These would make me happy.

Everyone always says Stone tower but they never say which one. I find that amusing. Anywho, most of MMs songs would make good tracks. Deku palace, Ikana, Ikana castle, Majora's themes, clocktown theme, snowhead, ect. ect. ect. That whole game rocks music wise.
