What would make you give up on the Legend of Zelda series? What would absolutly make u never want to play a zelda game again. What one thing would make you lose all faith in the legendery franshise?

Absolutely nothing. Even if the games start to suck even more I'll still have OOT and the good games.

Re: Zelda Fan no more!

I'll always be a fan of past games, but I'm sure my love for the series will die when Shiggy retires or passes away. Hell, that'll be the worst day of my life, and I'd shun any Zelda games created after that.

I'll always like the games they have out now, so nothing can make me not be a fan in that sense. I may not like some new games though.

Re: Zelda Fan no more!

I think the fanbase is the thing most likely to push me over the edge.
That and if the series continues to not innovate.
Spirit Tracks has to be the first Zelda I genuinely don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about at the moment.

Re: Zelda Fan no more!

That's something I've never understood. So far I've enjoyed all zelda games with the exception of four swords and AoL. I don't really get the casual feel you guys talk about. I mean, yea, it's easier than it should be, but I still don't think that they should make a zelda game based specifically on the hardcore fans like us (not that it wouldn't be awesome if they did). Perhaps it's just the name I find fun.

Lets hope that it NEVER comes to that...

I don't think anything would really make me give up completely on the Zelda series.... I just like it too much to give up on it if they release a bad game. Everyone releases a flop sometime or another...

Re: Zelda Fan no more!

I'm not playing Spirit Tracks, but I'm still going to play upcoming games.
Applying too much technology to it is where I draw the line. I like Zelda for its other worldy feel. Majora's Mask had subtle touches of technology (lights, ceiling fans) and it made it unique in its own sense... but a train? Really?

I truly prefer Zelda games that are played by foot or on horseback (because horseback is optional, you don't HAVE to utilize it except to jump over some fences).

If they completely changed Zelda to give it guns or modernized crap, I'll stop playing the new games. The only thing that would get me to quit playing even the old games is if they did something to tarnish the name of the Zelda series as a whole. I don't think Nintendo is stupid enough to do something like that, though.

If the home console franchise would go multi-platform (which isn't likely).

Real quick: why?

Basically if the games start getting bad. Meaning lower fun factor and less polish.

Re: Zelda Fan no more!

I will never stop being a fan of the series, there's nothing wrong with being a fan of something when it's good, and most Zelda games are good and some can even match up to games in many top 10 lists. The series has released two fairly mediocre games compared to past titles: Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass; but it doesn't ruin the value of the previous titles, nor are the most mediocre of Zelda games bad games at all.
