What do you usually call yourself in Zelda games?

I call the file "Sahbecca"
It used to be my first name but I liked using my nickname better.

Link or my first name.

I always just go with Ty.

Random, dumb stuff.

In TP we (me and my boyfriend) named him Dwight, from The Office, lol. It was pretty amazing, especially when he got mail.

In my most recent MM game, I named him Zimbabwe..just..cuz. And there was another file where I named him LouisCK, bc I love louis ck (comedian. youtube. now.)

Unless the game has the default name already there (like Final Fantasy usually does) I usually have all sorts of fun with the name.

A lot of times I'll put in my boyfriends name when I get to name the male protagonist (or in the case of chrono trigger, the frog lol), but for some reason, with Link, it's just fun to make him something ridiculous.

I in windwaker i called myself Tom as tbh he isnt in my eye a link but in everything else i call myself link

I will ether call myself my real name: Tyler
in majora's mask I am dumbass (The great sea turtle: Hey use your hookshot to climb on my back dumbass )
And in phantom hourglass: Sheik, cause when tetra is dissapering in the fog she says "save me sheik"

I use Link for the first time in every Zelda game I've played. The second time would be either Ultra (I really like just how it sounds) or my name.

I used my real name when I first played, now I just use Link.

But I prefer the idea of using your real name it really personalizes the adventure,
by putting yourself in Link's shoes, that's the whole 'Link is a link to the gamer'
thing Miyamoto describes.

Also that's a really cool first name, actually because you can have the nickname Sparta and also if you say the name really fast it sounds like "Sparks".

Where did you read/hear that? Just curious, bc I like finding the original sources to these things. I don't doubt it's true.

Miyamoto says something about that, but I applied it to naming the file...

I do "My Pants" because somthing funnie happens almost every time they say your name.

Wow its nice to know someone that does the same thing I do. I usually do name the game file some kind of food because I am always hungry for some odd reason, but when I am rarely full in my stomach I just name the file Link, or my real name. Unless I feel super random at that time I'll just name it Mad Sam.

Always Link, it doesn't feel right using a different name.

I started a new file on ALttP and named Link "♥♥♥♥!" it's pretty funny
