Easy puzzles that left you stumped.
Yep. See title.
Were there any puzzles in Zelda history that left you stumped for an extended amount of time, and when you found the answer it made you smash yourself on the head (metaphorically or otherwise) because of the simplicity of the answer? This one time in Spirit Temple OoT, where you had to activate one of those statue enemies and then lure them onto the switch. This other time in the Tower of the Gods WW, where you had to jump with the statue in your hands. I kept trying to throw it onto the platform while Link was still in the air. There were also times in Great Bay Temple MM, but there were too many. Also, twice in TP, once in Snowpeak where you had ton go all Wolf Sense to find a key that was buried underground, and in the final dungeon where you had to shoot a painting off the wall. The puzzles you choose must have a simple answer, and they have to have stumped you to any degree.

Also that time in WW in the final dungeon where you had to jump into that giant hole that looks exactly like all the "death pits" that kill you instantly.

Re: Easy puzzles that left you stumped.
In TP the first time you let the water in in the Lakebed Temple. Didn't look up. Didn't see the lever. Did feel stupid after looked up. After 3 hours of thinking and no the console was not on when I was thinking about it. I turned it back on and went to have another look and then did look up. .... Yes. Felt stupid.

Re: Easy puzzles that left you stumped.
There are several.
OOT: Who the **** ever thought up the shadow temple must have had a sadistic mind. Not only did that place creep me out but I was stuck forever on the fan room. MM: Took me awhile to figure out that you had to punch out the ice parts of the giant pillar thingy. WW: Don't get me started on finding out how to get into the Earth and Wind Temple. TP: Absoutely hated the picture thing in the one hallway of Hyrule Castle. I also had to think a little bit before I realized the boss key was BEHIND the waterfall of crystals. That and the Lakebed Temple's water level thing was a pain. |

Re: Easy puzzles that left you stumped.
ALttP: In Turtle Rock where you see you're first Bow-wow you have to push this random block that doesn't look suspicious at all.
OoT: A particular key in the Water Temple, under a particular floating block..... I doubt I must explain more. MM: In the Stone Tower there is a certain part where you need to use your Zora hop thing to get a key. PH: Pulling the levers in the Ghost Ship, where instead of the numbers meaning the order to pull them in from left to right, each number represents a lever.

Re: Easy puzzles that left you stumped.
Ha, ha. I seriosuly can't think of anything. No seriosuly, I can't. I have gotten stuck but never more than 30 minutes. The close DS thing was one that took me about 20 mins to figure out.
The painting in the final dungeon of TP came instantly to me. I'm not sure why. I was running down the hall and then I thought it looked different. I decided to shoot it with a bomb arrow. To this day, I'm not sure if it has to be a bomb arrow. Oh, I got one. I can't remember wich oracle game it was, but there were a bunch of statues and you had to move them by pressing buttoms. That took me about a day.

Close the DS... >.<
This puzzle for sure. I was drawing, map switching, going back and forth. I set the DS down for a break and when I opened it up I yelled at my brother for playing my game. I thought he beat the puzzle. ![]() |

Re: Easy puzzles that left you stumped.
Mine wasn't really a puzzle per say, just my idiot self doing it. What happen was, I was playing Wind Waker and I got to the Forest Heaven area with the Great Deku Tree and all that. I first get in there and there are these Chu Chus all hanging around on the tree. I have no idea what to do, so I start bashing my sword on the tree and throwing stuff at it. My Mom tells me to stop and wait for them to get me a guide book. It was like 4 months till my birthday. I never solved how to get the Chu Chus off the tree until later on when I got the guide book. I read about the Hurdle Attack, (or something along the lines of), and next thing I do is beating myself up and saying how stupid I was for not knowing what to do. I mean how hard is it to run forward, and press the A button? Not that hard. Like I said it wasn't a puzzle, but I made it like one!
