The Fire Emblem series generally has a default personality for the main characters- righteous, pure-hearted, honorable and brave, but also blunt and naive (at the beginning). Ike follows this pattern, but the blunt part seems to be rather exaggerated. Ike also seems to have less of a connection to romance than all the main characters before him: Marth had an obvious crush on Sheida; Sigurd marries Diadora during the game's story progression; the Fe4 paring system emphasizes Celice's romance with Rana, in addition to various conversations; at the end of Fe5, there is a scene of Leaf's subjects pressuring him to marry either Nanna or Miranda (dependant on your choices in the game) in which he admits that he actually has an affection for the given girl and cannot get himself to oblige; in Fe6, Lilina occasionally is shown desperately trying to win Roy, who dependant on his support conversations could also end up with Thany, Sue, Cecilia or Sophia; in Fe7, Eliwood at first is showing signs of a crush on Lyn, but then has a growing affection towards Ninian, after Ninian dies, dependant on your choice of supports, he could either be comforted by Fiora, and fall in love with her, return to Lyn's side (although many players state that the story line discourages this) or continue mourning for Ninian, and return to her when Brammimond revives her; in addition, Lyn shows extreme affection in her supports to either Hector, Rath or Kent and Hector can be seen comforting Florina, Serra, Lyn or Farina; finally, in Fe8 Tana has an obvious affection towards Ephraim, who may questionably have an affection towards Myrrh, and depending on your support choices, Ephraim may end up marrying Tana, Myrrh, or L'Arachel; Eirika, as well is confirmed to be coveted by both Lyon and Innes, and may possibly have a crush on Seth from the debut, which may grow into affection, or may dissapear to be replaced by affection towards Innes or Saleh. Anyhow, Ike shows no such affection anywhere in the main game script, and in his supports with females, all are questionable whether there is affection: with Lethe, it only shows him sparring with her; Titania reveals to Ike that she had affection towards his father- but neither shows affection directly to the other; and in Ike's support with Elincia, there may be a possible romance, but it is extremely questionable.

New topic. It took me awhile, but I determined Ike's age awhile back. He has to be either 18 or 19 in PoR, making him 22 or 23 in RD (since a full year goes by in PoR). Since the Serenes Massacre happened twenty years before PoR, and it is given that Ike wasn't born yet since his mother and Greil were still in Daein at the time when it happened, he has to be less than 20. Ike certainly doesn't look younger than 18 at all, so 18 or 19 is the best bet. I usually go with 19 though.

When I nosed around to see how Ike could have possibly grown as strong as he did in RD (this was actually just for a little fun, haha), I stumbled across an interesting quote by Boyd in PoR. He said something about going to work out with Ike. That would explain how both him AND Ike got their muscles in RD. Ike and Boyd work out together.

Also, Ike's age has already been figured out. 17 in PoR, 20 in RD.

Hehhehaha. You know im not a fan of that pairing myself but its...pretty damn implied. Atleast on Soren's end. Its too obvious. If you get the A support for Ike and Soren, the end of the game states, Soren goes off with him. <_< yeah...ElinciaXGeoffery is so so obvious. Especially in PoR. Even though Elincia seems to care about Ike, when she finds out Geoffery lives, she basically faints of happiness. Ike is about 20 years old in RD.

What? Ike and Elincia were far more suggested in PoR than Elincia and Geoffrey. However, it was the other way around in RD unfortunately. *sigh*

Also, Soren wasn't the only one who could go with Ike at the end of RD. Ranulf could too. Does that mean Ranulf is possibly gay too? No. Ranulf is way cooler though. x3

Soren is in fact, Almedha's son, not Pelleas. He is Ashnard's orphan. He was found by some lady, but due to the fact he was a Branded, he lived a horrible life. He met Ike in Gallia a few days before Greil went mad and killed everyone, due to Lehran's Medallion. Ike was among the only human beings that was kind to Soren. Due to this, Soren formed an attachment that is implied to have grown to be deeper than brotherly friendship. He states time and time again throughout both games, that he has absolutely no intentions of ever leaving Ike's side despite anything. Even if Almedha had outright told him "You are the true heir to the throne of Daein," Soren wouldnt care.
In order to get those scenes, you need data transfer with an A support between Ike and Soren. Its cool though.
If you A support Ranulf and Ike, he does indeed follow Ike, HOWEVER, the relationship between Ike and Ranulf is very different. You are correct there.
If IkexElincia happened, Why would he ditch her three years after the Mad King's War? He had no interest in being a noble! I doubt very seriously he had any real interest in Elincia romantically. Again, he takes off at the end of RD, never to be seen again! Leaving Elincia to rule her country.

Also, I remember Elincia saying herself that she never wanted to rule Crimea. She could very well secretly follow Ike later and leave Geoffrey. In fact, I actually make this happen at the beginning of my fanfic, hee hee hee.

Holy ****, the most ****ing awesome miracle just happened to me in PoR. Ike was like almost dead, and a heavy armored foot lance guy was attempting to attack him. I thought for sure he was a goner. Then, at the last minute, Ike dodges him, and freaking critical hits him to death. I'm like...holy CRAP, what the HECK just happened?!

IKE IS AMAZING. x3

The reason Ike was there in the first place though, was that I added Ilyana to the party, and I needed him to get rid of a guy with a Poleaxe who would tear lance boy Oscar to pieces. I had Oscar guarding that area so Boyd could deal with the heavy armored guys on the other side and Titania the knights down below. Soren was backing Oscar and Ike up. I had Ilyana take out a guy as well.
