And them releasing VIII doesn't mean they won't also release IX afterward.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on January 26th

That + Crystal Bearers + No More Heroes 2 = Best 30 day span ever for Wii.

Re: The Tokyo Game Show 2009 Thread of Announcements, Shocking Betrayals and Hype!

I'm not going to bother with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom since I just got into Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but it's a pretty surprising title to come to Wii. It's nice to see some good tournament fighters (though I suck at them badly) coming to the Wii, other than.. well.. Brawl x:

Forgive me for mayhaps missing other fighters, it isn't really my scene.

TvC has actually been on Wii for a few months shy of a year, but this is its first release in America (and outside of Japan, I think Europe is also getting it), and it's been beefed up slightly (a few new characters and such) for this release.

Also, Frank West... ha ha.

EDIT: Yeah, Europe's getting it too. So this is its first set of releases outside Japan.

Do you think the online will hold up? Pretty much every game is laggy online with the Wii, and you can't have that with a tourney fighter. Has it held up well in Japan?

Re: The Tokyo Game Show 2009 Thread of Announcements, Shocking Betrayals and Hype!

The original Japanese release didn't have online.

And you need to play more Wii games online, most are just fine. I can play Brawl without serious issues, even.

Re: The Tokyo Game Show 2009 Thread of Announcements, Shocking Betrayals and Hype!

Eh, when I play Brawl online (this is from my house to about a 30 minute drive away), it lags like crazy. I have about half a second of delay on my button presses. But it's nice to hear that it's getting better, or at least it's better in other areas.

Oh, right, I keep forgetting IX comes before VII. My bad. I can't count.

I've never had a match online in Brawl that didn't have at least a 3/4 second lag. Which is why I haven't touched the game since I bought it. I'm still mad at Nintendo for other reasons, such as the fact that PAL Wii's are locked at 60Hz, which causes extremely bad artifacts on a lot of 1080p TVs. Including mine.

For those of you who missed Nintendo's presence at TGS, they have a game show of their own next weekend.

So.

Nothing from the Konami conference.

Even now, nothing has leaked or anything.

Goddamnit, media, why do you keep these Konami conferences in the dark like this? I want my Castlevania and Iga news D:

So, apparently, nothing super-interesting happened at the TGS? Bummer.

I know, right? I had an entirely different impression of what it was going to be like :/

So many "hidden from the press" events...
