Re: The Tokyo Game Show 2009 Thread of Announcements, Shocking Betrayals and Hype!

The two new Nippon Ichi titles are for PSP.
Quote:
Disgaea Infinite: http://disgaea.jp/infinite/

Zettai Hero Customization Project: http://nippon1.jp/consumer/hero/

Both sites don't open until next week, but they were featured in Dengeki this month I believe. The articles show off the games and have screens. Disgaea Infinite is a visual novel adventure using the gameplay systems from Infinite Loop, but with Disgaea characters and story instead. The new Hero game is the one that has been teased in previous designs, it's a brand new SRPG for the PSP featuring a completely customizable Power Rangers type "hero" character. You can customize his helmet, right arm, left arm feet, and options - just like you would customize a mecha. Options include stuff like wings and stuff. Looks pretty rad.
A list of PLAYABLE titles from Sony at TGS hit the web.

The Last Guardian Trailer-only confirmed. Notice 2 New PS3 titles.
(Removed the list)
Much love to anyone who would be willing to sort these out by developer.

OP updated.

Oh, and Valkyria Chronicles 2 confirmed for the event.

OMG I love you. I never expected anyone to actually do it! I'll edit it into the OP.

So, you may have heard that Persona PSP's US PSN release has been delayed 9 days. Could this be a hint to an overhaul of the PSP's (and PS3's?) Playstation Store in time with the Go's launch? Now I'm curious.

Also, there was some more hints today to a 250GB PS3 Slim coming in October. Where better to announce it than TGS?

Also, in case you missed it in that gigantic list, one of the titles is a mystery PSone Classic release for PSN. I would think given that it's listed by itself, it must be something pretty big. Dragon Quest VII or Final Fantasy VIII, anyone?

Some titles that I'm looking forward to seeing more of at the event is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for the DS, THE LAST GUARDIAN!!!!, Tales of Graces, and the mystery big Playstation Archive game, off the top of my head.

Funny (actually, maybe not, considering this is Japan), that things seem to be quite on the Microsoft front. All we've really heard of so far is Neir from Square-Enix.

OP updated with a clean, organized and sorted version of Sony's list. Thanks for the help, Apollo.

That would be awesome. Though unfortunately, Mistwalker has seemed to have found a new home on the DS.

Re: The Tokyo Game Show 2009 Thread of Announcements, Shocking Betrayals and Hype!

@ Ty: It's not that bad considering Legends is an anime series and ODST is out this month. That only really leaves one game.

Anyway, Fable 3? I'm really not looking forward to that after how 2 ended up. As for everything else, there's nothing amazing for me. Well, nothing I didn't already know about. Final Fantasy VIII would be amazing for the archive title, but that's not even a new release lolol. It'd be nice to see some gameplay of End of Eternity if they show any, since we don't know much besides the story.

Re: The Tokyo Game Show 2009 Thread of Announcements, Shocking Betrayals and Hype!

Halo legends is an Anime? Huh.

And like you, I'm not looking forward to Fable 3. I didn't play much of 2, but I plaed enough of the first one to know that I wasn't really for me.

It isn't much to worry about, but there's speculation about whether it's even Sonic on the logo. I can see as well that the silhouette doesn't really look like Sonic.

EDIT: lolol I replied to the last page. Still, it could be like.. a Tales game or something.

I think anyone who even thinks for a second that that might not be Sonic should be put in an institution.

Haha. I think what they mean is, they know it's a Sonic game, but the main character mightn't be Sonic or whatever. But yeah, with Quin's image, even the gaps of black match up. I've got to say though, I won't be getting it because I've always sucked at Sonic. I still to this day don't know how to do the spin dash things properly.

I won't be getting it for two reasons:
One, they said "HD" which immediately rules out Wii.
Two, it's probably going to suck anyway.

Although it'll be interesting to see how they do it, in any case.

Most of the stupid puzzle bull**** they pull in the 3D Sonic games aren't possible in a 2D game. It'll take a lot of effort for them to **** this up. This is my hope, anyway. Sonic was my childhood hero, and I've been hugely disappointed by Sonic Team for the last seven years. Except for Sonic Adventure Battle 2, that was a fun game (aside from the stupid puzzle bull****).

Just had time to digest all the expected games and the rest of the info. This is beyond overwhelming. I can't say I'm looking forward to specific titles, but there's so much to be hyped about that it's crazy. This TGS is looking amazing already.

It's not looking anywhere near as big as E309 was, but it's still decent. Like I said earlier, End of Eternity is the only one I'm really interested in since we don't know much, but I'd say there are about 14-15 titles in that list I'll be looking out for.
