Future Virtual Console Games

I got Mario Golf 64 and Super Mario World today since I bought more Wii Points, but I'm still upset about some stuff.

Where are awesome games like Yoshi's Island and Pokemon Stadium 2? I've been wanting them for ages. D:

What games are you waiting for that aren't there?

Battletoads. For sure. Also, I'm guessing adding translated versions of the Fireeer Emmmbleeem famicom games would be nice.

Don't worry, Rew. SSB came out in Europe. If it went there, it ought to come here too.

Seeing as Pokemon Stadium 2 relied heavily on the transfer pack (Which would be impossible to do with the Wii), I can understand that one not being released.

Yoshi's Island, though... There's no excuse.

I personally just emulate all of my classic games, so there's no game on the VC I'm desperate to see, since I can play them on my PC at any time, and for free, too. It would be nice to see localized versions of Japan-only titles, though. Releasing the Fire Emblems on the VC might make me use my Wii as something other than a paperweight.

What I'D love to see is GBC/GBA games. I would soooooo download Mario Land 1 and 2 and Link's Awakening, not to mention the likes of the Sonic Advance games or Advance Wars.

Aren't those on the Virtual Boy in the DSi?

Virtual boy? you mean vitrual handheld, which isn't on the DSi. Maybe they do it later, but there is no info of it.

The Virtual Boy was an actual games console in the 90s. As far as I'm aware, there are no DSiWare ports of older game boy games.

Oh, I always thought the Virtual Boy was the DSi counterpart to the Wii's Virtual Console. XD

That is a Virtual Boy. It came out around 1997 i think and failed miserably.

Yeah same. I dont really use VC that much, one due to lack of getting alot of Wii points, and two for reasons you stated. Id love to see translated FE games on there. That would pretty awesome.

The usual for me. Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy. Although I just emulate on my Wii using the Homebrew Channel. (technically, though, Virtual Console IS emulation)

I'd also like to see the SNES Star Fox as well as it's unreleased sequel.

Oh yeah, translated old FE games would be totally awesome!

As you know, I'm ZU's biggest FE fangirl, so I'd go crazy if that happened. XD

The only real allure Pokemon Stadium 2 has is all the things you can do with the Gen I and II games. On VC it would just be rentals, so I don't see that point.

Anyway, I personally would love to see Chrono Trigger on VC. Also I'd like to see all the Fire Emblems and all the Final Fantasies that didn't make it stateside before.

Even if that happened, I'm sure you and half the internet would simply complain about the NoA translation being "censored" and lacking all the incest references, and talk about how superior the ROM translations are.

Virtual Console seems to be slowing down anyway, and there are rumors going around that Nintendo plans to focus more on WiiWare. And when you think about it, that's not really a bad thing. WiiWare has produced some great stuff, so more is always good (whether from Nintendo or not).

Like people have said, not many people are willing to buy old games for much anymore. Virtual Console is a cool feature for people that missed out on some classics, but I'd say if I had a choice I'd want them to focus more on WiiWare.

Anyway, to be actually relevant to the topic, I'd say games I'd want on the Virutal Console would be
