Let's Play Princess Maker 2!

Are you aware of what a Let's Play is? Well, you see, a Let's Play is when someone goes on a forum and starts a thread detailing basically a log of a videogame, only humorous. Also, whenever a decision needs to be made, the people on the forum post to give their advice. Basically, fun for all.

Next, do you know what Princess Maker 2 is? It's basically a child-raising sim. Don't let that turn you away. You raise a girl from 10 to 18, and depending on how you raise her, you can get over *Seventy* different endings. Also fun for all.

Also, did I mention that my screencaps aren't working for whatever reason? So, this will be in disorienting text-only format! Also I'll try to scavenge a few pics off the Internet.

So, we're playing as this girl's dad, a war hero. Hmmm.... How about Yami?




Yeah, he'll make an excellent father.

Okay, opening it up... (By the way, my text is normal, Yami's text is red, daughter's text is pink, Cube's text is in blue, and any deity's text is in bold.)

We have a screen where we pick a New Game or Load Game. I'mma pick New Game. Obviously.

Can't find a pic, but you pick the girl's name too. I'll name her Marina.

Next we enter her birthday, then our age and birthday, and finally her blood type, type AB.


And, woot! Backstory time!

There once was a city in the
world of mortals.

It's king was proud of his
position, and its people were
arrogant about their wealth.

Its rulers made light of the
gods and ceased to worship
them.

Its people sank into
debauchery and sloth.

The Lord became angry at
this and summoned the
Prince of Darkness,
ruler of the Underworld.

Accepting the Lord's will,
he attacked the world of
mortals.

Do I come in yet?
No, Yami, you do not come in yet.


It was a once sided war...

The soldiers of the capital, grown accustomed to peace,
fell helplessly before the powerful Demon Army.

The ramparts were destroyed, and the castle was engulfed in flames.
It was clear to all that the fall of the castle town was at hand.

Seeing the plight of the capital, Yami, a wandering swordsman,
threw himself into the battle against the Prince of Darkness.

One dark night, Yami stole into the demons' encampment,
and defeated the Prince of Darnkess in personal combat.

That's right, *****es. I killed the devil.

You have beaten me! But why are you fighting for these people?
WHAT AM I FIGHTING FORRRRR?

It has been divinely ordained that I attack this decadent capital. It is no concern of yours. I killed only fools.
1.. 21 guns... Oh, sorry. Were you saying something?

Suddenly, the Prince of Darkness disappeared along with his army, returning to the Underworld to recover from his defeat.

KING: Brave warrior. You have saved the capital. It was I who foolishly brought this war upon us. It was divine punishment for my decadence. If you had not appeared, the people of the city would surely have perished along with me.

QUEEN: It was my fault as well. The king and I have resolved to make a fresh start. We will work together to restore the capital.

KING: You appear to have been wounded. Why dont you stay in the capital, and help us to rebuild? We beseech you.

And thus Yami came to live in the capital, and to be granted a salary by the king.

One night, when the stars were shining brilliantly in the heavens, Yami felt somehow drawn to go outside. And a voice called out from the heavens... Lifting his head, he saw a shooting star! Before Yami's eyes, it slowly descended to the top of a nearby hill. He ran up to it, and there he found a floating sphere, shining brightly! And then there was this voice in his head!

Yami, this little girl has been living in the sacred light since she was born.

Okay, we plan the schedule, week by week, for each month. We have our options:

Adventuring, to fight monsters, to either A: Forest, B:Glacier, C:Lake, or D: Desert. She has no fighting skills, so mayeb not adventuring just yet.

We can have her work, these are the wages per day:



Don't worry, there are more jobs, as she grows older. Jobs increase the skills you would expect them to.





School, again, prices per day. Impossible to afford right now,

Free time, too, to relieve stress.
