Metroid: The Other M Who is he??

Yo, I'm so syked about a new metroid game comming out soon. Well not soon exactly, but the prospect of a new game with everyones favorite Badd *** bounty hunter is just awesome. Let's theorise about who the other M is. Ya know, the guy in the trailor that seems to" know" samus but ain't exactly a good guy. The barely minute long trailer for the other M reveals so much of the game, a whole lot about the plot, and yet at the same time we don't have a real clue what's going on.

To me there's only three plausible answers to this, well there's a fourth one. But it's not very plausible, I'll list and explain my ideas in order of believablility greater to least, along with my theary or whatever it's called.

Old Boyfriend: Ah yes, a common cliche' I know, but in this case it's slightly believable. Because 1: he seems to be interested in Samus in more ways than one. and 2: Samus seems immediately enraged at the sound of his voice. Meaning she could be suffering from bitter regrets of broken love.

Old Comrade gone bad: Yet another common cliche', but again it's plausible.(It also "adds" to the plot, and slightly explains her "solo" bounty hunting.) Because in the trailer, the "other M" is apparently wearing a galactic federation PED suit. Or at least something that strongly resembles it. This is highly plausible, more so than the old boyfriend idea.

Brother??: Yes, you heard me, but this's the one that's stretching it a bit even for the metroid series. In all the games it's clearly pointed out that Samus was "orphaned at a young age during a space pirate raid" this however only means that her biological parents could've been killed. It's not entirely believable, but a possibility. The game trailer seems to hint at either sibling rivalry or some other form of procrastination.
The other M says "What's up samus, remember me hehe I bet you do."
meaning that she could have lost her brother to the space pirates, OR one of the two ideas above.

Someone Who she saved: This's a good, solid explanation. Samus has saved multipule lives on multiple ocasions. However she doesn't seem to show any signs of wanting to check up on them. It could be likely that the man in the trailor was approached by a space pirate crew and thus currupted and employed as a distraction from samus. Seeing as she cares deeply for the lives around her, (the good ones at least) and that facing one under awkward conditions would surely fill her with the bit of guilt shown in the trailer.

So who is it, what is it, why do they want to kill samus? Let's theroise and such, I've posted mine, but who knows if yo u guys could come up with something better.

Other M. Probably a ****ing Metroid of some kind.

The guy in the trailer that knows Samus is Adam Malkovich, her former CO. The other guy that asks, "remember me?" appears to be just some random soldier, and the Other M probably has to do with a Metroid or Mother Brain.

What in the ****ing hell are you talking about, "Other M" is more than likely a project name for the game.

Are you talking about that guy with the helmet?
Hasn't it already been stated he's merely one of the soldiers?
Where are you getting "kill Samus"? What the **** is going on?

Some cohesion would be nice. Also, better grammar.

Possible connections and whatnot. I don't know if they're making metroids the main plot this time, but it is a good idea ^_^

EDIT: I'm just giving my theories, not making assumptions. It's stated that The Heroe's shade in Twilight Princess was the new links father, that doesn't automattically make it true.

We'll have to see just who that mysterious soldier is, but I do doubt he's a love interest (or anyone that important, really). That spot would much more likely be taken by Mr. Malkovich. Besides--he's way too ugly for Samus!

Other + M = Mother

A mother is a biological and/or social female parent of an offspring.

So I belive that we are dealing with a she here.

The guy in the suit is Commander Adam Malkovitch, a prominant figure from Samus's history in the Federation. Notice his catchphrase "Any Objections, Lady?"

In short, play Fusion and read the manga.

The guy is just one of the marines she sees while fighting that boss-thing from the trailer, I believe. And why don't you think that he's a good guy?

Seeing as I can't make head nor tail of the opening post, I'll just assume he's talking about Adam Malkovich.

Of course, if someone understood what the OP was trying to say better than I did, they are free to correct me.

The OP may actually be talking about the guy who asks her, "Remember me?" just after he flips up his generic space marine helmet thing.

If we are talking about the guy who says "Any objections lady?" in the trailer, that is Adam Malkovich, who was Samus's CO when she was in the military (this is all mention in Fusion).

If we are talking about the guy who says "Remember me?": Why do you think hes a bad guy? He simply asked a question in a rather friendly tone.

Going by the flashbacks we know are in the game: probably someone from Samus's past who we'll also see in flashback.

There is also zero evidence that this person is trying to kill Samus.

I know we're not exactly discussing the actual game here, but damn, why no MotionPlus? That's a real pity.

Well, it'd be hard to give a mostly-2.5D-and-third-person game motion plus. Is it true that it will have first person elements?

From what we can see in the trailer, yes. It's a good combination, as the FPS perspective is a little worn out after the first three Metroid Prime games.

This game looks amazing.

The other M, probably stands for "Mom". Wild guesses.

Yes it did. Lots of people speculate that the game will involve the other metroid.
