I always felt mine was a waste of points. Oh well, I'd got the points from stars anyway.

If you paid 500 pts for the channel, apparently you get a free Famicom game.

Yeah, I got the mail thing on my Wii earlier. Went to download it but got an error, I'll try again later.

Wasn't there a trial version first? And everyone who had the trial version got to upgrade to the newer one for free?

Yep, you're right.

I went and bought mine though after it stopped being free.

I'm yet to get my points back.

the internet channel was free till june 2007 IIRC. You didn't need to have the beta.
You won't get your points back, but you'll be able to get a free Nes games during October till lated dec.

I think it's become obvious by now that NoA has little interest in the VC any longer, and is putting most of their attention to Wiiware.

That said, there are plenty of great NES titles available. Since I bought the Internet Channel, I'll be using this 'refund' to get something like Castlevania III or Super Mario Bros 3. I'm happy with this.

I got my net channel a while ago when it first came out. It was free then too.

I'm using the browser right now actually.
It's an update for people who already have the channel, and now it has a higher flash player.

I got the Internet Channel today since the price was what kept me from getting it. I think it works pretty well for me, and I might actually use it every now and then. The second of two channels that I would recommend for Wii (as well as the Nintendo Channel)

Yeah i like having a backup just in case, something goes wrong with my computer or something. lol its like webtv.

^ Yep me too. And considering that there's 4 people in my household, all who use a computer daily, it's nice to have.

I use it the most though for when friends come over and we wanna check something out online. Much better watching Youtube videos on my TV than having us crowd around the computer desk in my bedroom.
