Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
What do you think is the best boss fight of all time?
It is really hard to decide for me, but probably the best was when you fight Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII. It was just epic. And "One Winged Angel" is some of the best video game music I've ever heard. Feel free to post videos of your boss fights so that way everyone can see them if they haven't before. I don't really think I need to put a video up for the Sephiroth fight though, cause I'm sure a lot of people already have seen it by now. So, what do you think is the best boss fight of all time? |

From Batman/ Arkham Asylum: The Scarecrow. Not because the battles themselves are particularly difficult, but because the atmosphere and build-up to these encounters is amazing. Absolute mind****.

Re: Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
Epic defined, this fight was cinematic before cnemtic gaming became popular. The Kraken in God of war 2, this fight was long, drawn out, and epic all at the same time. As it stood before Kratos, and his way to the fates, he unleashed all of his anger upon the beast, stabbing it in the head with a bridge. No list, and I mean, no list is complete without a mention of the Great Mighty poo. |

Re: Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
I say it every time I see a "Best [gaming element here] of all time thread", but can we keep the epic-count down, please. It's embarrassing how overused that word is. We'll just assume that everything on this list is epic unless expressly told otherwise.
My vote is goes to Mullock the Glukkon: ![]() Okay, so there isn't actually a boss fight against him, but he is your boss. And he is one giant SOB, I can tell you; his latest business plan is cut up all his employees (yourself included) and sell them on the meat market. For the people who still haven't played Oddworld, it's on Steam and I would highly recommend it. What would essentially pass for a boss fight against him involves a timed obstacle course rush to his boardroom where you turn into the Mudokon god of vengeance and fry his ass. And that's very cool too. |

Re: Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
If I think something is epic I will describe it as such, regardless of how other people use the word.

Re: Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
But because of how people use it, it's meaningless. It's just a term used to glorify a given subject without actually communicating anything about the subject. It's far more productive and useful to anyone reading your post to give a legitimate explanation (you know, with other, meaningful adjectives) as to why the boss in question is epic, rather then just labelling it as such.

Re: Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
I'd say my favorite was The One King from Suikoden Tierkreis.
I mean, seriously, three part boss fight?! And it was hard as hell, but it sure kept me on the edge. It's all based on the team you use to stay alive, but mine worked for sure. Lvl 60 Hero Lvl 60 Chrodechild Lvl 60 Fredegund Lvl 60 Asad Yep, beat him with these guys! =D |

Shadow of the Colossus.
And I agree with Manhammer. The Scarecrow battles are so ****ing amazing. It was so creative and well done, and managed to be eerier than most horror action titles I've played lately. |

Re: Best Boss Fight Of All Time?
shock: Before you watch this i think i should tell you a few things. Throughout the course of the game you'll fight with a partner. What this means is you control two characters at once. Neku(the main character) on the touch screen and a partner on the top screen. Because you control two characters the person that made the video will switch between screens a few times to ensure that all the important stuff is seen. However this also means that it can be pretty confusing. If you have any more questions just ask me.
