It's a myth that computers need to be extremely expensive to play modern videogames.

And people and reviews don't do justice to a game's story like playing through it does. Like I said, I'm picky like that. If you show me how to build from the ground up a PC good enough to smoothly play these games for $300, then I will bow down to you and call you Master. |

Re: The List
With five hundred dollars you could make a PC that could play those games. It'd not be the best thing, but it would run them. So if you waited and saved up some money, you'd be able to play most of these games, on a good system and some good ones. And when newer, better, more demanding games come out, instead of shovelling out five hundred to three hundred dollars, you can just invest two hundred in your computer.

Find yourself a computer shop (Or follow directions out of a book/online), get the necessary components, put them together, and you'll have a decent custom computer that could run most of the "big" games on the Xbox 360 for only a couple hundred more dollars than what the 360 would cost. It might not have the greatest graphical quality, but the games would probably run fine. Can't say the same about replacing a PS3 or Wii with a PC, but the 360 and the PC's libraries are very similar. Plus, you'll be able to upgrade your computer for cheaper than what the next generation Xbox might cost, as the guy I quoted said.

AMD Athlon 2 2.8Ghz Dual Core CPU Nvidia GeForce 9800GT Motherboard 2x Kingston HyperX 1GB Total cost: $311 (Not including tax) That system will play every game on your list on either Medium or High settings. The only problem with getting a PC instead of a 360 is that you won't be able to play console exclusives, like Final Fantasy 13.

First of all, this thread is about games for the 360. A good chunk of those are PS3 exclusives. Second of all, the only one that is out on the market for the 360 on your list isn't even worth buying. Quote:
A lot of people that still think that computers have to cost a fortune to play modern games obviously don't have too much knowledge about computers.

Plus, it's still over $300, even if only a little. No he didn't. He didn't specify at all. Although, he did slightly amend himself later. Quote:

Oh, and a hard drive too. A Disk drive might help as well. $500 dollars is therefore a better figure. Doesn't mean it's not worth getting over a 360 though, because a PC can do so much more than play games. Your 360, well, can't. |

I'm not including keyboard, mouse, case, etc. since I'm assuming he already has a computer, and just use the same stuff. 600 Watt Power Supply New total $366, which just brought you over $350 : (

However, you people have deviated from the original topic. So, I shall make this simple. I AM NOT buying or building a PC. I AM NOT buying a PS3 (yet). I AM buying a 360. There. Easy. Back to topic please. What games for the 360 should I get, and why? What are they about? What is the style of gameplay? |
