Pah hah hah, I've never played more than an hour of Kingdom Hearts, and I probably know more about the series than you do.

Well, I only played the GBA one. I've seen people play KH 2 sometimes, though. Something about people losing memories...

Yeah, but how is that gameplay anything like Final Fantasy?

...so in Final Fantasy you play a character and the battle system revolves around a card game? Because CoM is a fast-paced card game. Last I checked Final Fantasy isn't like that at all, but okay.

Right, so this was because Forte says he doesn't like himself. I want him to like himself a bit more.

Re: Epic Mickey Mouse Steampunk Game

It was an RPG with cards instead of moves. It was no different than Pokemon or Dragon Quest, in terms of gameplay. KH 1 & 2 weren't turn-based, right?

Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are Action RPGs. Light platforming aspect as well i guess.

Re: Epic Mickey Mouse Steampunk Game

KH seemed more of an Action-RPG-hack-n-slasher.
Either way, nothing like Final Fantasy or Pokemon.
Or Dragon Quest, or whatever else you said.

I know people have already commented on this, but...

WAT.

It's more a Disney game with final fantasy characters than it is final fantasy with Disney characters. The gameplay is completely different, and almost every world and character is a Disney character, it's just that a few characters and worlds from Final Fantasy games make some appearances.

I hate Final Fantasy, but Kingdom Hearts was okay. It still had that melodramatic Final Fantasy atmosphere to it, which is oh-so-annoying, but it's kind of to be expected that it would share some similarities to Final Fantasy, considering it's developed by the same studio.

The game is looking extremley disturbing. It reminds me of Silent Hill.

This one scares me:

I have a feeling that the Goofy will be giant. It's like a zombie-robot, or something, I'm guessing.

And this game will be made by Disney?
The legitimacy of those pictures are questionable, as they are posted on some blog by a guy who may or may not be affiliated with the developer for this supposed new Disney game.

He was a writer for a weekly entertainment magazine I used to edit in college. Anyway, he said that he was now editor of Space Gamer magazine and asked if I wanted a job. So, in the fall of 1983, I started as an editor.” Within a short time, Spector became the editor-in-chief for all Steve Jackson Games products, the company that owned and published Space Gamer magazine. Spector began producing role-playing games for the company, stating, “I supervised game development, typesetting, and the art and graphic departments.” Most notably, he developed Toon with colleague and high school buddy Greg Costikyan. In March 1987 he was hired by TSR, initially working on games such as Top Secret/S.I. and the Marvel Super Heroes role-playing game.[1] Spector spent some time in TSR's R&D department, helping launch, among other things, Spelljammer.

Subsequently he entered the computer game industry worked with Origin Systems and Looking Glass Studios. He worked on games including Ultima Underworld I and II, System Shock, and worked briefly on Dark Camelot, which later became Thief: The Dark Project. Later he founded Ion Storm Inc.'s Austin branch, which went on to develop Deus Ex, Deus Ex: Invisible War, and Thief: Deadly Shadows before being closed by owners Eidos Interactive in February 2005.[2]

In 2004, Spector left Ion Storm to "pursue personal interests outside the company".[3] In 2005, it was announced that he had established a new studio Junction Point Studios[4], where he is working on an unspecified game to be built with Valve's Source engine and released through Valve's Steam digital distribution system.[5] A job advertisement for the studio called for artists for a game that has "classic Hollywood cartoons" featuring "cartoon mice, cats and wabbits". On July 13, 2007, it was announced that Disney Interactive had acquired Junction Point Studios.[6] His first project with Disney Interactive is rumored to be a project involving classic Disney characters, possibly titled Epic Mickey. The game has been confirmed to be a Steampunk title and rumored to be released on the Wii console.[7] Spector has contributed a great deal to video game theory, and constantly promotes the importance of proper execution of ideas in video games.[8]
Question: Is this game going to be good?
Answer: Yes.

Sorry that I'm so Kingdom Hearts inept, it's just that I've only played Chain of Memories. That ws mostly Final Fantasy, with Cloud and District 13 playing a very important role. Also, those poogle things were in it, and so was Cid.

A: Moogle
B: No it wasn't. Final fantasy is turn based. CoM wasn't turn based at all. You attack when you want.

You did? I'm sorry, I guess my memory fails to serve me correctly then, as I played the game when it came out, when I was seven. By the way, Forte, who's that in your signature?

I'd be disappointed if they were indeed just random drawings and had nothing to do with the game, but something tells me that it may very well be the case. Seems like too much of a drastic change for Disney to approve of a game depicting classic family fun characters in such a grotesque fashion.
