Who has found this easter egg in Metroid Fusion?
In Fusion, it is possible to skip the diffusion missile upgrade with some VERY difficult shinespark work. After you open security lvl 4, you can reach the nav room by shinesparking to get through the blocks where you entered the underwater "reef." Upon doing this, Adam (your ship) will congratulate you on such fancy shinespark work. The federation man you see Adam speak with will also congratulate you.
Who has done this before, and can you offer any tips on how to do it? I keep getting hit by those fish. |

Re: Who has found this easter egg in Metroid Fusion?
There's two ways of doing this. The hard way with shinesparking, and the easy way. The easy is to wait right before you get the diffusion missiles, in thatr oom with the inflating creatures, and if you jump and shoot from above at them with an angle, it's tricky, but possible to hit them, freezing them before they inflate and allowing you to use the Morph Ball to get through. I've done both, but I use the second way on playthroughs now, because a) it's easier, and b) the whole point of Metroid is to do things the designers didn't expect.
