What's you favorite Nintendo console?

You can play all of those games (as well as use the GameCube controller / memory cards) on the Wii, and the Wii has the sequels to all of those games too (Brawl, MP: Corruption, Other M, SMG, SMG2.)

That's more than any other system.

The Wii by far. It has most of my favorite games on it, including Fire Emblem 10, Brawl, TP, SMG, SPM, MKWii, etc., plus it has the VC, online gameplay, adorable Miis, and I really like the Wiimote and Nunchuk.

Nintendo64.

It has the best graphics of all the Nintendo cartridge consoles, also it has cartridges. When CD's get scratched they're done for, cartridges take a trip across the room and out the window, they survive.

Super Nintendo.

It took all the great franchises of the NES, and made them drastically better. In my opinion, the SNES just made the NES obsolete. It also brought up new series like Yoshi's Island, the DKC trilogy, and arguably the best RPGs.

The Wii, but only because of backwards compatibility for GCN games, Virtual Console, and emulation for games NOT on Virtual Console.

So technically, NES, SNES, and N64 would be my favorite systems.

Wii.

VC for MM, OoT and SM64
GC compatibility for WW and SMS
Pretty enjoyable multiplayer on SSBB and MKWii
Strong first party (SMG, TP... oh wait, not TP)

Also, I have a habit of rooting for the underdog.

Also, I think that studying Sean Malstrom's writings on Nintendo's business strategy concerning their current consoles makes for some good reading. You can really see how stupid the business people at Sony and M-soft's gaming divisions are.

The Wii shows just how much influence Nintendo has over the gaming industry, and how much Nintendo persuades its competitors to emulate them (force feedback w/ the N64 rumble pak, shoulder buttons with the SNES pad, analog sticks w/ the N64 (I think), wireless controller (wavebird) and now, motion control.)

But above all, it's the most accessible console by far.

Yes but I prefer the GC games. Just because the sequels happen to have been released on the Wii doesn't mean I'll like them and the console better.

I'm sure part of this is the nostalgia kicking in, but I'd have to say N64. It revolutionized Nintendo, stuck with cartridges (aka items able to withstand a nuclear explosion), and also had some of the best games...obviously OoT and MM, as well as Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, and my favorites, the Pokémon Stadium games and Kirby 64.
