Which has better graphics? Xbox 360 or PS3?

To some it does matter. I personally dont know which one has the better graphics, but it seems the PS3 has the beefier graphics engine.

It doesn't have native .mkv support, but via tversity and/or ps3 media server you can play .mkv files on your PS3 as long as you allow the program to transcode them. I had trouble doing the same thing on my 360 though. Some worked, and some wouldn't for whatever reason. With my PS3 it always works.

This seems unlikely.

I'd imagine that the two should be of roughly equal quality.

Plus, of course, setting up a media server is rather more difficult than just buying a Blu-Ray disc. Not, perhaps, immensely moreso, but still. You also need a computer that can decode 1080p video and stream it without lag. Not all home computers can do so.

I don't understand why people take things so personally. I have a 360 (and a Wii), but I don't go around saying the PS3 is a piece of crap compared to it. They're basically identical in terms of what you see on screen, apart from the interfaces. I know that I'm going to have amazing fun with the PS3 when I get it.

I'm also going to get XIII for PS3, because the 360 version will most likely be horrible.

What does this have to do with the statement of a graphics engine being software, which is bloody obvious?
Your screenshot shows a well optimized graphics engine.

I would say PlayStation 3 is better technology.. If you look @ Carbon, PS3 version is slightly more realistic. Games with cars are the best to determine graphical quality for my eye..

I have only played a few PS3 games (but many 360 games), but from what I've experienced PS3 games look a little bit better but they have more lag when much is going on.

But overall a good gaming PC beats 360/PS3 graphics-wise.
