The Fire Emblem Thread Returns

Hey, there hasn't been a new FE thread in awhile has there? D:

Well, here's a new one then! XD Discuss the Fire Emblem games here to your heart's content. As for what I want to say...

FE is my favorite game series, RD is my favorite game IN the series and favorite game of all time, Ike is my favorite character in the series, and Eternal Bond/Ike's Theme is my favorite track in the series. xP

Btw, I loved Eternal Bond/Ike's Theme before I liked Ike. Funny, huh?

I also hear of wide speculation about a third game involving Ike existing. I really hope they do it! Ike shouldn't be the main character though. He should still be unable to die (as in, you get a game over if he's killed), but he shouldn't be the main main character because he's already had his turn. This game would obviously be in a new continent too since Ike left Tellius forever.

So, discuss FE! Oh btw, if you're an FE fan, then I invite you to go under my command as a member of the Fire Emblem Mercenaries.

There hasn't been a new one announced yet. I hoped for it at E3, but there was nothing on FE there. Then again, FE is never mentioned at E3 conferences, unfortunately.

But I really hope the next one is the widely speculated third game in the "Tellius series." Some people keep saying Ike's story is done, there needs to be no more of him. But I'm not saying the third game has to be all about Ike. I'd rather it be more about a new lord who Ike and Soren/Ranulf are being a major help to. New lord, new continent, new characters...that's what many of us FE fans want and if this game happens, everyone will be happy because the speculating fans get a third Tellius Series game and the other fans get a new lord, continent, and characters.

My day has been made.

Only if the game is about Ike and Soren's love for each other would I want a third Tellius game.

I should have expected to hear mention of that. The gay reputation Ike got from RD is the only thing in FE that really annoys me. IS, you'd better fix this and have Ike marry a girl in his third game appearance. >_>

EDIT: Or make Soren completely absent.

If Ike really was featured in the next game, I doubt the game would take place in Tellius seeing as he left forever.

In all seriousness I don't see the next game being about Ike at all. At best he might get a cameo appearance (with Soren).

Why should it be fix'd? There's nothing wrong with it.

I hope the next FE is completely new, And for the wii. Shadow dragon was cool and all, but I almost never used the stylus controls.

Featuring Ike again would just be beating a dead horse anyway.

I don't see it being about Ike either except him marrying a girl in the end, finally.

What would also be a cool twist is if they had Elincia "leave" Geoffrey for Ike and go find him on whatever new continent Ike arrived in. Heck, I wouldn't even mind if Elincia just plain dumped Geoffrey. xP I'm just a fan of Ike/Elincia is all. Still, I wouldn't be mad if Ike married a new girl instead. He might even look cuter with her than with Elincia, who knows?

EDIT: Yes there is. The fact that there's no real evidence to suggest Ike is gay is the problem. People just take things like his comforting hug to Soren and turn it into gay jokes. You want a gay/lesbian FE character then go hound Heather. xP

And this is why shippers are an embarrassment to humanity.

I just want to see a new land/main character/plot/etc. I personally would like a new FE experience.

Also, Jake is the RNG god (and Anna is the goddess). You cannot deny it.

There's some Ho Yay that does go on between Ike and Soren, and people just like making fun of that. Shipping like that is actually quite fun, but don't take it seriously, just like how I like Thiefshipping but I don't write horrible fan fics about it nor do I take it seriously.

Me too. I want Ike to simply be like Elincia was to him in PoR. Not the main character, but still a major one at that.

I'd like a new female lord who actually bears the lord class. Not another Micaiah. I also want to see RD's cool new classes return. Reavers, Marksmans, Marshalls, Trueblades, and Gold/Silver Knights were win.

EDIT: Dread: I always saw that as brotherly love. Ike and Soren knew each other for years and Soren always gave his loyalty to Ike. They were close friends and when Ike hugged him to comfort him cause he was crying, I was reminded of the time I experienced the same thing from another girl. I was crying and she hugged me. Which means I know from experience that this doesn't suggest Ike and Soren are gay.

And I don't take it THAT seriously. I do think it's funny at times, but not all the time.

Indeed. I dont want to see another Tellius game. Theres really not much anyone can do with that now that RD is done and over with. Its like asking J. K. Rowling to write another Harry Potter, theres nothing really left to tell.

I want to see a new world, new characters, new villains, new classes, all that lovely stuff. Shadow Dragon disappointed me badly even though it is a remake. Its just not that much fun and i dont like the idea of offing my units to get gaiden chapters and all that stuff.

Also Ranil, its heavily implied that Soren's feelings for Ike are a little bit more than just a deep friendship. Its not implied that Ike feels the same way. Ike obviously sees Soren as a true friend or maybe even a brother figure.

Ranulf, Elincia, and a minor appearance made by Geoffrey are the only other returning characters. The plot is brand new, there's a new Fire Emblem object, new laguz even, and more. See how a third game with Ike could make a lot of people happy? xP

Oh yeah, I do want the laguz back. They were really cool. Especially the dragons. I loved the way they looked in their epic two-legged dragon forms. Ranulf was my favorite laguz character though.
