Hmm. My Gameboy Color was once dumped into a lake, and then scooped back out about 10 minutes later, and I took it home, changed the batteries, and worked fine. But, that's not nearly as bad as that.

That doens't make me go wow..just..interesting.

I HAVE noticed that Nintendo peripherals are a lot more hard-wearing than 3rd party equivalents. I wasn't aware that they could survive explosions and submersions, though.

And yet 7-year-olds still manage to break them every time.

My PSP worked after I dropped it on the floor. Can I get an article written about it?

I did read something about DSes surviving (and the other entertainment equipment not surviving) a trek up Mount Everest...

I dropped my DS an incredible amount of times and it still worked for 5 years.

I doubt it. Pure concussive force from an explosion wouldn't be enough to break a brick. And shrapnel wouldn't really do much to it either.
