What's your favorite Final Fantasy game? (Main series besides X-2 and XI)

Not really. While he definitely was getting a kick out of it throughout the game, he wanted to take over the world and destroy its current state because he wanted to take over the world and destroy its current state; ultimately, despite his ca-razy personality, Kefka's intentions are similar to those of most power-hungry villains.

Except Ultimecia and Mateus wanted to control the world, whereas Kefka wanted to destroy everything, much like Exdeath wanted. The key difference is that Kefka wanted to have some fun before destroying it.

Notice that Kefka only expressed a desire to destroy the world at the very last moment, after his forces were diminished and he was about to fight a large number of heroes by himself. If anything, that was a last-minute thought; a desire to "go out with a bang" (This may also be due to the fact that there really wasn't much of a world to rule anymore). Kefka is still your typical power-hungry villain who wanted to control the world, as evidenced by the length of time in-between his ascension and his downfall.

X for the battle system.

VII for the music.

VIII was alright.

XII is cool too. I still need to finish it.

The only FF game that I've played is VII, Dirge of Cerberus. I guess it's not part of the main series, but I love it. I want to get the rest of them.

Ah, I can't remember how I've voted in the past. It's a close tie between FF7, FF9, and FF10 for me. I really enjoyed FF7; and then for FF9 I really loved the characters, story, and music. And FF10 was just awesome... it was the second game I ever finished (TP was the first). Sometimes I still get misty-eyed when I remember the FF10 lovesong.

Suteki da Ne is one of the few video game songs that can get me choked up. The only other songs that have that power is the theme played during Galuf's death in FFV and Celes's theme from FFVI.

FFVIII no question. It was my very first FF game and will always be my favourite, The Junction system was better then any battle system in an final fantasy game ever...hands down. The story actually made sense(I'm looking at you FFVII) and the Characters actually felt real. The world was large immersive and fun to explore and the story was amazing. Top that off with an adorable love angle and my favourite is very obvious.

And Squall is sexy <3

I've played 4,5,6,7,8,9, and 12. I have ten, but it completely skips and stops working after Tidus washes up on the shore at the beginnning, so I don't really know how good the game is.

I like twelve just for the sheer amount of stuff in the game, and the world was just more... my style? Meh. It's my favourite. Time consuming, lots of side quests, yey.

My second favourite is 6, then 8, then 7.

FF V is the best in my opinion!the game is a little hard,but I still like it!

It sounds like your disc is scratched or dirty, you can buy a kit for that.

Fixed Or a new disc. Seriously though, Final Fantasy X is fantastic and is definitely worth picking up and playing.

Final Fantasy X is my favorite.

It's not perfect, but it's the only FF that I've completed more than once. When I think back as to why, I realise it is because I love the way the story unfolds, I became attached to the characters (believe it or not), and the game didn't force me to grind nearly as much.

I also just like the battle system for being turned-based. There is a lot of strategy since you can switch out members in the middle of battle, and I like the way Aeons were used as summons. Yup, when I see that a boss is charging for it's killer attack, I just send out an Aeon to take the blow. They usually die, but at least my party lives.

Final Fantasy IV <333, with VI in 2nd place. I gave up on the series after VII.

At first I was just fighting against an evil empire, and now I'm being asked to go to another dimension. The plot's a little too strung out for me, and I don't find any of the characters particularly compelling, especially when compared to Final Fantasy VII.

That's funny --- I really liked FF9, but it was the whole time-dimension-warp thing in FF8 that I thought was rather confusing/annoying.



FF7's mako, Lifestream, and North Crater business was also a little strange on the whole dimension-front.

You didn't like the characters from FF9?! But Steiner's so funny!

I started playing FF9 yesterday and it's already my favourite. **** yeah retro goodness.
