2 gameplay videos for L4D2. As far as it shows, the standard weapons seem to back. New zombie type called the Charger which seems to just charge at players and trample them.

Looks like not much has changed from the original, though Valve is going to have to add something crazy to this game, because no way am I going to shell out $70 for a game that could be considered an expansion, of sorts.

What do you guys think?

i think thats a good idea it makes you want to play the same levels over and over

I think valve needs to focus more on Episode 3.

My main concern is with thinking "could they have just done this as a big DLC?". I hope they make some considerable change-ups to warrant a boxed game.

Pani was actually going to get me Left 4 Dead for my birthday. Now there's just no point. Seems they're saying "Too bad" to anyone with the first one, and they're just going to chuck out this new one in the hopes that people will forget about that other game.

Game looks pretty good, but then, so did the first L4D. Nothing seems different, really. There's new Infected types, new weapons, and new campaigns, but aren't they all things that could've been added to L4D through a series of patches, or even in one big patch?

Should have been Episode 3 instead.

I bought L4D on the presumption that they would update it just like TF2, not in the same way necessarily, just many updates, all free.

This irritated me though because it's clear they aren't going to. As much as I love L4D, it did always have that 'demo' feel, I reckon Valve were testing how well Turtlerock's game would pan out.

Either way though it just shows that they either released the game far too early, or they're bending us over for some more money.

Poor show Valve.

I thought they would have kept updating L4D like they did TF2. It makes me wonder if they're just going to keep throwing out more L4D games instead of updating more regularly.

Rumored: new guns, though not confirmed

I'm looking forward to left 4 dead 2, and valve have already explained why it's a totally new game and not an expansion. The producer of the game has already cleared that up, so there is no point in asking that question anymore.

Well there is a different type of shotgun, and a silenced submachine gun instead this time.

There is also flame resistant zombies and incendiary rounds in the game too.

I may be a bit presumptuous here, but I have the feeling Valve know what they're doing and Left 4 Dead 2 will be well worth the price.

Judging from the trailer, this game seems to be exactly the same. Let's hope for Valve's sake that they introduce enough content to make more of a distinction between the first Left 4 Dead.

I guess it's a good thing that Left 4 Dead didn't impress me that much in the first place.

Is it just me, or does one of the new survivors look just like the scout from TF2?
They both are tall and wiry 18-19 yr olds with blue baseball caps and bats. Coincidence?
I agree that an Ep. 3 trailer would have been better, but this is still good.

Tried the first one, and I wasn't all that impressed with it.

I won't be interested in the 2nd installment.

Needs to allow you to aim down the sites. Hip shooting all the time pisses me off (mostly because I play with crosshairs off and not being able to aim down the sites makes it too annoying to play).

When I heard the rumor about L4D2 before E3, I was kind of annoyed by the fact that they could've put the stuff in patches like they do with TF2. (As were most people, really.)

I was even considering buying L4D, but now that the sequel's coming out... (And only a year later, too...)

The game doesn't look like it'll be bad, though. I just would've liked some add-on stuff. Only good thing is that Valve said they'd still support the first game.

I'll probably buy this game, though, seeing as I don't own the original Left 4 Dead.
