Re: Rhythm Heaven

I heard the localization of some of the songs was pretty halfhearted and not cool.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

I heard the localized songs while playing the game and I was like, dag, yo, these are some bumpin' tunes.

Tonchiki we disagree a lot (twice)

Re: Rhythm Heaven

What did we disagree about bef- oh yeah.
But the game's getting good reviews, so they can't be that bad.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

It's the best rhythm game ever (the second best is the original : D).

I've only got one perfect so far (fan club) but I've got a couple of superbs : D.

best game is the where you are the monk eating balls or the ninja dog cutting up the veg or the scientists.

i hate hate hate the robots.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

I have mixed feelings about Rhythm Heaven. It makes me want to throw the DS way too much for a good game, but then at other times, I just have to love it.

I actually found that to be one of the easier games. The one where you have to go on and off beat is impossible.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

Yeah, I could not do Lockstep at first : (.

I think most of them seem impossible at first but then you get into it and it's really easy. still don't like the farmer one or the robots though.

The farmer one is only time I really feel like I'm fighting with the controls, it's really awful : <.

EDIT: Meh. It is ok. EBA is still better.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

Although I think the promotion of the game is quite stupid (then again, they all are so meh) the game is quite addictive, the songs are quite amusing and there's definitely some skill you have to put into these mini games so the replay value is insane.

Lurve it. :3

Re: Rhythm Heaven

The Japanese version is infinitely better than the localisation, for me, and is my favourite DS game.
And it's best played with eyes shut, of course. Far more fun. :>

That's what I thought, too - I prefer the Japanese versions by a long shot.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

The Moai games made me want to tear out, and proceed to eating, my eyeballs.

Otherwise, the games were pretty fun. I have 35 medals, not bad. Perfects: Blue Birds, Shoot-'em-up, Fan Club, Remix 2, Remix 3, Love Lizards(in my opinion, the easiest game), DJ School, Space Soccer, Ninja Dog, and Love Lab. Still got a way to go, but Rhythm Heaven is still fun.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

Well the Japanese version may have more enthusiastic singers, the English localization makes it much more charming because I can actually understand all the writing and laugh at the insulting remarks given at the end of a minigame. I got Rhythm Tengoku after I beat Rhythm Heaven because of all the good things I heard about it, but it was just lacking the magic that Rhythm Heaven delivered. Also the music in Rhythm Heaven is so much more catchier than Tengoku's. Just my opinion, of course.

Re: Rhythm Heaven

I found Lockstep easiest with eyes shut.
But once you get the timing right, it's really easy to do it perfectly every time, obviously.

Another one I did best with eyes closed was the football-spaceman game (I forget the localised name).
