Also, I suppose someone named "Forte" would be a big Mega fan, wouldn't they?
Really? Wasn't the original megaman in both marvel vs capcom games? I don't really remember if volnutt was used in any other cross over fighters though... Maybe they're just trying to use all the iterations of megaman.

Re: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America!!

I'm glad Capcom takes these risks with localizing games, as sometimes it can pay off.
I never would have played the Ace Attorney series if they hadn't thought "ah, what the hell" and translated the first DS game back then. Now the entire series is established and well-liked outside of Japan.

I know Classic was in both MvCs, but I think I might have been thinking of Namco x Capcom... I don't know, I feel like I've seen him in a lot of places.

Re: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America!!

A couple of tidbits from the NP article-

Quote:
Asked if there will be any new characters for this version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Niitsuma remains coy. "Please stay tuned for a later announcement," he comments.

[...]

One feature notably missing from the Japanese version, however, is online competition -an omission that may be corrected for North America. "We are still working this out, but stay tuned for more information coming soon," teases Niitsuma.
None of this is confirmed, but the way all of that is worded, this sounds like the game's gonna be even better for the NA release.

Adding online would only enrich the replay value.

You would think, but it has to be done right. Even the slightest bit of lag seriously kills a game that requires accurate button timing. Also, inb4 "why does everyone always play Ryu and spam SRK/hadouken?"

Ha, that's what I always did in SF2. I was never good at that game.

Brawl.

It would be cool if Capcom could make it for this, but I would rather see more characters and additional modes before it if possible. TvsC is a twitchy-ass fighter, so it's very possible that all competitive feel in an online game would be lost.

As long as they are balanced that's cool. SF4 was pretty well balanced. A good Vega player is able to take down a good Sagat player, so its not a horrible mismatch.

If most of the characters play like shotos it might not be a huge problem, but seeing as how Chun-li is in it I'm assuming there are some charge characters as well(I never played this game, so I don't know). Its charge characters that suffer the most from lag. Normally I don't blame lag for a loss, but in these cases I usually do.

Re: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America!!

Street Fighter IV is very well balanced, though that's not necessarily a tremendous priority for me. I don't really intend to play TvsC at high competitive levels, so even if it is unbalanced to a degree, I would imagine having fun with it. Maybe I'd find a small local tourny if they popped up, but not much more.

The article also said it's due out before the end of the year during Winter.

Re: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America!!

Does anyone know the difficulty? Capcom fighters seem to be either simple with their final bosses or incredibly tough, mostly the latter. I don't mind, its just sometimes its nice to have a break from Gill, Seth, Shin Akuma/Bison. Not as bad as SNK bosses though. Freakin Geese Howard >_<

It isn't sf. I mean, yeah, there are charge characters and there are shotos, but you're talking like it's sf. It's not.

Meh, bosses are pretty annoying. They have like 50 stages.

Right, so this was because Forte says he doesn't like himself. I want him to like himself a bit more.
