The REAL reason behind Nintendo's "casual" E3 2008

Ah! I didn't notice. Maybe I should be more careful when reading posts at one in the morning.

I don't really think they knew what they were doing with online, either; all I said was that they are starting to implement more "hardcore" elements such as (apparently) a payment program.

Payment program? Do you have a link? This is the first time I've heard about it.

It might not be enough though. I think in order to fix their online support, they need to get rid of friend codes, and have an ID system more akin to the 360 or PS3.

Thanks for clearing this up. Always assumed that last years E3 had something to do with Miyomoto selling his soul to Satan and Regie actually being a cybernetic reincarnation of Hitler.

No, actually it was Reggie who sold his soul to Satan. As for Miyamoto, he's just been on some magic mushrooms.

...So is the Ps3's, and it does it about 100x better than what the Wii has to offer. Not as polished as XBL, but still pretty good.

E3 2009 is around the corner.

Nintendo has NAWT abandoned the "hardcore" gamers. It's just a bit hard for them to access them at the moment.

It also gives a few small clues as to what to not expect this E3, for example, the rumoured M-soft motion controller may force Nintendo to push WM+ to its limits...
