Pokemon Thread

Yeah, but I thought it would make the most sense to have at least two pure dark types on the team.

I finally took the time to make a team on ShoddyBattle. Username is CaptainTMS and I am generally on the Smogon University server. I am not exactly very good yet, but I am willing to except challenges who wants to battle me.

Lt. Surge and Wattson both had military histories while Lt. Surge was the only one who dressed like it. Volkner just wears a military uniform.

By the logic that Roark is a ripoff of Brock, then Pryce is a ripoff of Blaine, Whitney is a ripoff of Misty, Wake is a ripoff of Chuck...... And the list goes on.

My Crystal Team so far (I am just about to battle Pryce).

Donphan lvl. 28 (Amazing tank, takes tons of hits and deals the heavy blows)
Pidgeotto lvl. 26 (Hits hard and fast)
Teddiursa lvl. 29 (Amazing powerhouse, shreds through anything, is almost an Ursaring)
Jumpluff lvl. 28 (Fast status inducer, can hit surprisingly hard)
Tentacool lvl. 26 (Decent, it's not something to write home about but it's still good)
Quilava lvl. 32 (This guy's a frickin' beast, 'nuff said)

Team Galactic made no damn sense. "We have 3 of the 4 legendary Pokemon in Sinnoh... you want to set them free so that you can capture them later? Instead of me actually claiming that they are mine because I caught them and you were unable to, I am going to risk these three for nothing in return LET'S FIGHT! OH NO I LOST! Here kid, have this Masterball. I don't need it to catch something that I can easily capture! Haha Now completely unequipped with a Masterball to capture this gigantic threat I will challenge you again! I lost! WHY DON'T I USE MORE THAT 3 POKEMON!"

All enemy teams are mentally retarded. Like Team Magma: Let's send all of our members to the top of a volcano, then make it erupt lol. Or Team Rocket in GSC: Their whole 'master scheme' was to make Magikarp evolve, to sell tails of Slowpoke (that no one bought), and to do a radio show where they acted like wusses crying for Giovanni to be their leader, because obviously whoever was in charge had bad leadership skills. And Team Galactic was really stupid, if they had nukes then why couldn't they just nuke the player? It would have been so much easier than attempting to fail epically.

At least Team Galactic ended up being truly evil unlike the other groups who were trying to do something good in the end. Cyrus wanted to take over the world for himself, not help it. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and all the grunts thought they were trying to make a new, better world, but they weren't and they didn't know it. They were being used. That's why Team Galactic are my favorite cause they really were badass. xP

Not to mention actually a challenge later in the game. I had more trouble with Cyrus than I did Giovanni in LG.

Giovanni harmed Pokemon, stole stuff, kidnapped people, took over huge companies, blew up buildings, and killed people (the last two he only did in the manga). Cyrus sat in the corner and cried like an emo ***** because he didn't have feelings. The only cool thing he did was blow up the lake, but it was lame because it got restored to normal.

And in a fight, Giovanni would easily slaughter Cyrus. The only thing he wouldn't OHKO is Gyrados.

Cyrus did those things too. He took over Valley Windworks. He kidnapped and harmed the mirage Pokemon. He stole things. He held people hostage too (like the little girl's dad at Valley Windworks). And if the player hadn't been around, he would have killed the mirage Pokemon too. He was trying to take over the damn world for himself and once he did, he'd dump all the Team Galactic members like they were bags of garbage.

Giovanni was too "nice." Not to mention he was a Gym Leader too and acted like a nice guy then. Cyrus acted badass and evil all the time. I preferred him by far. And btw, I wasn't joking. I found him harder to beat.

EDIT: Oh, you also think Giovanni would beat Cyrus in a battle? LOL. Giovanni has ground type Pokemon, Hawke. They wouldn't be able to do anything to Honchkrow and Gyarados while they pick Nidoqueen, etc. with no trouble at all.

There is no proof he would have killed the mirage Pokemon (also, Giovanni's Pokemon mutations in the manga were awesome, who doesn't like Zapmolcuno and the special Eevee?). Giovanni also caught a Deoxys easily with a Pokeball (manga, I don't know about the anime), caught Mew and created Mewtwo while Cyrus couldn't even catch Dialga / Palkia /Giratina. And also, Cyrus' plan was to make a new world, one that only he would live in and rule. More proof that he was a whiny ass little emo crybaby mother****ing *****.

You slaughtered my first three Pokemon with an electric move and killed Weavile with a fighting move! Oh no, I just realized my plan is awful! I'm so sad I'm going to commit suicide, J. Edgar Hoover 4 eva!!!!!!"
And also, Giovanni is way more powerful than Cyrus. Pokemon in the fifties > Pokemon in the forties with 4x weaknesses and suck.

Yes, he would easily crush Cyrus. He uses Rock Slide on Honchkrow and Crobat, EQ to OHKO or 2HKO Weavile, and rock slide and thunder to OHKO or 2HKO Gyarados. (Assuming we are using Yellow version here because while FRLG is newer, it is simply a remake and Yellow had Pokemon with higher levels).

Do you need more proof that I am right and you are wrong.

Yeah, Giovanni is awesome. So, what pokemon are you going to have follow you in HeartGold and SoulSilver? i will have either Wooper or Darkrai maybe Shaymin but one that I will have to try will be Wailord.

I'm currently in the Fortree City gym. I'm going to evolve my Magnemite before taking on Winona.
