The game looks a little better than that in-game, but don't get me wrong-- the 2-d games easily outclass it in terms of visual appeal. One thing that bothers me is that the animations are so dang stiff.

I will say one good thing about what they did with battle animations, though; I like the fact that if the enemy can't attack you and you can double-hit them, the characters sometimes do a one-two in quick succession. That's kinda cool, instead of *strike* *retreat* *strike* *retreat*, but not enough to make the actual attacks interesting.

Fine, I'll explain it again like I have a gazillion times to people. I like Ike a lot because he has an awesome sword, and awesome signature move (I love Aether!), and he has such an awesome personality I can't imagine liking any character more. People just don't look as hard as I do for the rest of the details and think characters are bland with no personality. Here I am, and I've discovered a lot about Ike. He hates nobles and thinks of them in vain almost, he's reckless, blunt, puts himself down a lot, loves food, and is even a bit of a glutton. He's also very passionate, especially for Elincia, it seems. Ike also has very good manners and is quite good at gaining others' trust. The guy's a true hero who does anything to protect his friends and especially Elincia once again it seems.

Oh yeah, not to mention Ike is good at hiding things, such as when Shinon accused him of being in love with Elincia, hehe. I believe he was hiding his feelings for her from Shinon by not reacting at all to Shinny's accusation. Oh, he also hid Ragnell for so many chapters. XD

I also love Ike's backstory. It's very sad, yet epic. The poor guy witnessed both of his parents dying as well as his father massacring people right before his eyes because of Lehran's Medallion. Then he has leadership thrust onto his shoulders at an unexpected time when the Black Knight kills Greil. Ike had it real tough, the poor guy, but I thought it was epic learning all this.

And that is why I love Ike as a character. ^^

Ranil, he wasn't hiding his feelings, he just doesn't love Elincia. I mean, just look at Ike. He's not intelligent enough to lie.

Ya they're there, but he doesn't portray them enough. A little more emphasis on stuff like this and Ike would be a grate character. Also something that the developers could improve on in the next game.

Roy is useless. His mother is a better fighter than he is, and that isn't opinionated, his mother actually does have better stats and a better promotion than he does.

Meh, there was no mutual attraction between the two at all. I even got their A support ending, and all they do is look at each other unromantically. Eliwood was meant for Ninian, even outside of support conversations they have the hots for each other.

I think Lyn is Roy's mother because of the resemblance and the fact that both Eliwood and Lyn wield swords while Roy does as well. Honestly, doesn't Roy look more like Lyn than Ninian to you guys?

Not much resemblance, really. And just because he uses a sword doesn't mean his mother had to. Roy's mother is never revealed anyway, so there are many possibilities. Ninian fits the best, considering she even outright says she loves Eliwood, while Lyn and Eliwood are just friends at best.

What are you talking about? I just compared them and I found a lot more resemblance between Lyn and Roy than Ninian and Roy, particularly in the faces. It's hard to explain, but I don't see much resemblance between Ninian and Roy.

Also, just because Ninian loves Eliwood doesn't mean Eliwood loves her back.

Also, Lyn is awesome, and Eliwood is moderately okay. So if Lyn is Roy's mother, then that means something went horribly wrong. On the other hand, Ninian sucks ass, and Roy sucks moderate ass, so Ninian and Eliwood makes sense.

Also, Lyn and Hector is possibly Fire Emblem's most awesome coupling opportunity. The only thing I can think of that comes close is Arya x Holyn, or Fury x Levin (Sety is a one-man army. Seriously, one man ****ing army.).

I got the ending with Ninian and Eliwood, so that makes the most sense to me. Even without the endings, it seems a lot more evident thoughout the game. Lyn definitely seemed to lean towards Hector. (Although in my ending, I think she married Rath, which made no sense to me because I never used him.)

Anyway, I can't say I give a damn about all of that, so instead I'm going to add that if this game allowed the lovers system that one of the older ones did (I don't care about remembering ridiculous Japanese titles), Lyn + Hector would = UNSTOPPABLE WARCHILD.

Hector and Lyn might make sense, as I recall Eliwood once said they must enjoy their debates a little too much. But Lyn could really end up with anyone besides Eliwood, as her love life wasn't her main trait, it was her fitting in with the rest of the nobles.

That means nothing. A lot of hints were dropped at IkexElincia in FE9, yet Elincia ended up with Geoffrey instead. The same thing could be here, with one couple making more sense than the other.

Besides, though what you're saying seems to suggest Ninian makes more sense, there isn't anything that says Eliwood and Lyn didn't fall in love later after the game.
