WHAT?! So...these random announcments in the background of the gaming world ARE true. I thought they were all stupid lies. Anyway...that character looks tottaly bad ass. Am I excited? Definetly, its been a few years...ubisoft has been around the block enough that I'm confident they've mastered the wii's secrets in controlls. I have high hopes for this game...or atleast its bad ass character. I mean DAMN, thats a nice coat!

I don't know where they're going with this, but that character art already makes me way more interested in it than I would've been if it was regular day Yakuza crap.

it didn't have three years of development, it was started from scratch awhile ago, it'll probably still feel rushed and be full of bugs : )

Haha, it was finally confirmed to exist a year ago, meaning it must've been in development for some time beforehand. We still don't know when it's coming out, so we could be looking at a possible 2 years. Maybe not 3 for active development, but they started planning quite early.

We've known that this game would happen forever. I'm not interested unless they do a lot of good things with MotionPlus and make it interesting.

Okay, so except the controls that must be fixed before I can even consider this, these are my issues with Red Steel:
- Unable to use swords whenever you want. remember that first trailer when a guy ran towards you with a sword and the player shot at him like 2 times before using the blade? I wanted to be able to do that, change between gun and sword whever I felt like it. - lame story. Seriously, it was lame. - moving. way too slow, turning was horrible. So yeah, if they manage to do something right, I might be interested. But why no multiplayer? I actually somewhat enjoyed multiplayer in Red Steel one, mostly because it was the only multiplayer shooter on the console at the time. I mean, honestly, why do I have to go back to my N64 for some Perfect Dark when i want to play a good shooter? or, of course, PC.

The first Red Steels movements controlled like an N64 game. You moved way to a slowly. The story was compleatly random, and I stopped paying attention half an hour through the game because of how cliche it was. Oh no, your girlfriend has been kidnapped by the mob! How many movies have I seen about that?
This game really doesn't deserve a sequal.

Red Steel was the first game i got for the Wii.
A sequel would be good, i enjoyed the first one. Im only looking forward to the 1:1 swordplay. I hope it turns out to be really good. |
