^ *sigh*
Same.

Unless they're somehow two completely different versions, there goes all chances of the Wii one using its full potential.

The last couple games in the series haven't been great, and they weren't even for the wii. I'm sure this will be at least as good as those. Honestly though, Silent Hill was a pretty mediocre series to begin with so I'm really not interested.

Is there a specific reason for the PS2/PSP version hate? Or is it just the whole "multiplatform games aren't fine-tuned to take advantage of a specific console and are therefore inferior to exclusives" thing?

It's a problem for wii games. what happens is instead of them thinking how they can specifically utilize the wiimote, they now just make a ps2 game and port it to the wii. The controls have to conform to the game instead of the game being designed for the wii-mote. Essentially the wii versions going to be gimped. The ps2 and psp are fine consoles and I don't hate them... I've just been down this road too many times already...

I'll get the Wii version I guess. It sounds like it'll be the best with the free flashlight control and all.
I don't know. It's been a good series so far. 4 and 5 weren't too great, but 1 through 3 were amazing, and Origins was good too. I still have some hopes for this.

The game can't be used in listwarz anymore so it has no value : )

Renewed interest.
Thanks for the heads-up, Jeff, this good stuff!

Re: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for Wii - Apparently NOT a joke

I see where you Jeff and Slime are coming from. In one way it could make it scarier knowing you can't defend yourself, and you have these monsters chansing you all over the place. On the other hand, it could make the whole game feel like "I will always be able to run from this enemy, so it poses no threat to me".

I'm not sure myself which I feel will happen yet, but it looks interesting anyway. I have Silent Hill 5 for 360, but haven't started playing it yet, so I myself still haven't played one yet. I saw a friend play through The Room, which was absolutely terrible, but I know it's also on of the worst in the series (if not the worst). Some of the monsters were really freaky though.

This f'n thing. I crapped myself the first time I saw it.

Re: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for Wii - Apparently NOT a joke

IGN is convinced that this game is the real deal.

And, from the looks of the interview they had with Climax, the near-blown-away impressions from their 15-minute eyes-on, as well as some of the screens we've seen, I think we're looking at a very promising game rather than one that seems like just another throw-away.
