Let's once again talk about how awesome one of Nintendo's most underrated series, Fire Emblem is!

In a course of a week, I have arranged popular music from the Fire Emblem series. I have chosen the most favorite and beloved music from the games such as "Maiden in the Dark" from Fire Emblem 6 "The Awakening of the HOly Knight" from Fire Emblem 4 and "Ike's Theme" from FE9. This is a tribute cover to how great the music of the game is and I hope you'll enjoy it.

Fourth Fire Emblem Game Going To Get A Nintendo DS Port

After Iwata's speech in the Game Developers Conference he invited a select few people for a secret meeting. There he revealed new information about games currently in development for the Nintendo DS and Wii systems. One of the previously unknown games was a port of Fire Emblem Seisen no Keifu, the fourth entry in the series which was released only in Japan in 1996 for the Super Famicom. Since then the game has become the second most popular Fire Emblem in Japan with a total of 580,000 units sold.
Toru Narihiro of Intelligent Systems Co., Ltd., the company behind the Fire Emblem (as well as the Advance Wars and Paper Mario) series commented: "Games like Fire Emblem [Shadow Dragon] and Chrono Trigger have been selling extremely well, so we decided to create a port of the fourth game which is very fondly remembered among the people who played it in Japan and introduced many things that are a staple to the series such as the Weapon Triangle (a stone-paper-scissors-like system where one weapon type has an advantage over another), a huge number of character classes that are still found in current Fire Emblem games and skills. It also had a very unique "generations" system where two units could fall in love with each other and produce offspring which then would become part of your army for the second half of the game." In doubt that this game would be a straight port of the Super Famicom version Narihiro assured us: "We are going to include at least one more chapter for both generations so both series veterans and newcomers alike can further explore the game world and the protagonist of the second generation is going to be able to pair with a person who was impossible to be paired with before [in the Super Famicom version]. He added "We're doing this in cooperation with the team of the latest Zelda title [on DS]. Expect to see the world of Yuggdral to be a little bit more technologically advanced in this version."
Fire Emblem was exposed to Western audiences with the characters Marth and Roy in the Gamecube party fighter Super Smash Bros. Melee and since then it was made possible to release further games in English starting from the seventh one. "The series has since then got a cult following outside of Japan and we want to show the parts of the series that have more unique mechanics and introduced elements that are still used today." Narihiro concluded.
The game is supposed to be released during autumn in Japan and is due to arrive during christmas season in the United States. Iwata told us that this meeting was under embargo so we apologize we couldn't post this earlier.

And before anyone says "LOL APRIL FOOLS" keep in mind that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door was also revealed on April 1st.

That FE4 thing is too obvious just by the way it's written.
This just reminded me, though, I have a bunch of FE games in my possession I have yet to beat (1DS, 8, 10). Only one I've beaten is 7.

I've only beaten 7 as well. I've never really been into this series, nothing about it really stands out.

Which one? The FE4 DS Game? That's real. Or were you talking about my musical skills? That's a real video.

Hehe, I've only beaten FE9 and 10. I've yet to finish either 7 or 8.

Snow_Storm: I meant any of them, but if you aren't obsessed with all of them, then my bad.

I'm still skeptical, seeing as the graphics look identical to the SNES version. Not to mention that only book one of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon was remade, and not the book two par they added in Fire Emblem 3

Well hey, they can only remake one game at a time. I'm sure they'll be remaking Marth's other game too. It really wouldn't be fair to us outside of Japan if they didn't.

I'm still hoping for a third Ike game on the Wii, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. In fact, I don't want Ike to be the main main character again (I don't consider Micaiah a lord because she never had that class), I'd like another lord, a new lord, to be involved as well, kind of like there was more than one lord in FE7 and 8.

Although it isn't extremely likely, it's still possible because one, Ike hasn't married yet, and two, him leaving for other lands could set up for another adventure in a new continent, except outside of Tellius. His companion (either Soren or Ranulf, though I'd prefer Ranulf) whom he could get an A support with in RD would be with him. :]

A third Ike game would be overkill. I actually thought the fact that RD was a sequel to PoR was a little unnecessary, but alright. I like Ike in Smash Bros. because I find him hilariously brutal, and I sorta like him in the FE games because I like him in Smash Bros., but I don't find him to be interesting otherwise. He seems pretty "default".

Yeah, but if Ike makes a third appearance, he probably won't be the main main character again unless he gets really popular. Ike does have a lot of fans, but he's not popular enough, imo, to get another game. It's mainly because he hasn't been around long and FE itself hasn't been around outside of Japan as long as other series like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc.

But I'm happy as long as Ike gets a big role and commands some troops again! Oh, and somehow gets Ragnell back, if it's possible.

AND THIS IS WHY FIRE EMBLEM FAN SITES DO NOT LAST LONGER THAN ANY OTHER NINTENDO FAN SITES!!!
