Re: BioShock 2

I did.

Played through on Normal then like halfway through on Hard. Don't get me wrong, I liked the game.

Re: BioShock 2

Read about it. Sounds cool I guess. Just not sure how difficult it could be, being a Big Daddy and all. I mean really, what are a couple of splicers going to do to a guy with a huge drill, amirite?

Looks interesting none the less. I loved the first one, so I'll see about getting this one at some point, probably not as soon as it comes out.

P.S.- seeing as I beat Bioshock in two days, I'll probably end up renting Bioshock 2, or borrowing it from a friend...

Re: BioShock 2

Wasn't BioShock considered an RPG, or something? I always thought it looked like a creepy.. FPS.. ish, whatever. I only played the start of it, since it was a rent. I've never been sure whether I should buy it or not, though it might do me good to get into the series. Apparently they're planning on making like, 6 BioShock games. Yeah.

Re: BioShock 2

The System Shock games were closer to RPGs, and since BioShock is somewhat of a spiritual successor to those, a few of those elements have been carried over. But for the most part it's just an FPS with a really strong plot.

Speaking of which, I just found my System Shock 2 disc. I think I'm gonna go play it.

Re: BioShock 2

So I'm playing Bioshock currently, and it is a pretty sweet game. However, when it comes to the big daddy's I'm dying multiple times and keep on reviving at Vita Chambers A LOT. Is it just me or is the combat in this game harder than a regular FPS game?

I'm not getting this. All I did was run around collecting things and shooting stuff. It gets so boring, and my dypraxia dosen't help when I try to navigate.

Re: BioShock 2

So far in Bioshock I made it to Arcadia. Just out of curiosity, am I roughly half-way through the game? I really enjoy this FPS game, it's pretty damn customizable for an FPS.

I've heard System Shock 2 is one of the greatest RPG/FPS games ever made. I've been really temped to get it, but I can't find it anywhere anymore, sadly enough. A lot more challenging than Bioshock as well.

That said, the Atlas boss battle was underwhelming as hell.

All the combat in Bioshock was mediocre. I was like "oh, haha, what was I expecting? Something amazing?"

Bioshock is about atmosphere and plot, the gameplay wasn't that great.

It sure was underwhelming on Normal, but have you tried playing on Survivor?

The combat isn't really good enough for me to care.

The combat wasn't bad.

Of course, gameplay doesn't consist of combat alone.

It was mediocre, and generic. Bioshock was a very immersive game, every time I got to a combat part I felt like I was being pulled out of the experience. That is a flaw, a very large one.

Re: BioShock 2

Hopefully the mouse accel/sensitivity for the PC version is not garbage like it is with the original Bioshock. It took some serious game tweaking just to make it playable, and they still haven't released a patch to fix it :/
