Fire Emblem! =)

Has anyone here played any Fire Emblem games?

If you have, what is your fav FE game? Mine is FE Path of Radiance.

I so far managed to play and complete:

Fire Emblem Blazing Sword, Fire Emblem Sealed Sword, Fire Emblem Sacred Stones, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon.

As you can see, I am a big FE fan! =)

Fire Emblem is one of Nintendo's most overrated, unoriginal, and lackluster series they have ever produced. If you think about it, it is the same game with just different maps, characters, and music. Fire Emblem barely adds anything to innovate and do anything new for the series.

All in all, it is not that great of a series.

I started the new one, Shadow Dragon, and I just couldn't stand it. I thought it looked really good and fun, but it's just so tedious and boring and overly complicated.

It has to be, like Snow_Storm said, one of the most unoriginal series ever.

Well the series has been quite a success! Of all people, I thought you would have liked Fire Emblem, since you joined a forum ''Serene Forest.''

Each Fire Emblem game has something new to add, so I would not say the game is lacking any original ideas.

I have only played Seisen no Keifu and The Sacred Stones.

The only great thing about the series is the wonderful and well composed music like the following:

In fact, the only Fire Emblem that I enjoyed was "Fire Emblem: Maiden in the Dark". I enjoy Maiden in the Dark so much then Sword of Seals. M.i.t.D is a game in which you are force into the world and yet, you seem that you don't want to escape because of how well written the plot is. Maiden in the Dark basically makes you think you have the most powerful impact on the characters and the story. The story will grab your attention as it is a story fill with emotions. You think this is more of an extremely interactive visual novel or a movie then just a game.

The game play is simple and yet innovating and limitless, giving players different ways of playing this game and planning their attacks, routes, and battle lay out. It takes everything great about the Fire Emblem series and make it so much better.

The music is also very well scored. Instead of just using MIDI, Nintendo decided to use an orchestra to perform ALL musical tracks . The music just ****in' adds to the emotion.

Seriously, Maiden in the Dark is a must-play game. You need it in your life!

Agreed the music is awesome in FE. My fav music is ''Softely with Grace'' from FE Blazing sword.

It's an awful series. Over-complicated, text heavy, bad menu system, and annoying characters. Why would you ever want to play it?

Don't listen to any of these people dissing FE in here. I think they're being sarcastic, as I seem to recall them continuously ranting about FE7, Sigurd and the old games in the old threads made by myself and Kitsune.

But anyway, I'm a huge FE fan myself! My favorite game is Radiant Dawn by far. I've also played Path of Radiance and The Sacred Stones as well. In fact, RD and PoR are my favorite and second favorite games of all time. I've beaten both and I must say, I easily became a huge Ike fan as well.

If you like Ike, you ought to join the Ike Fans Unite social group. ^^

As for The Sacred Stones, I'm fond of Seth and Ephraim, but since I can't find the stinking gamepak thanks to my brother, I haven't been able to finish it.

Oh yeah, I also agree that FE has the best music ever. Eternal Bond from RD, the FE Theme, Victory is Near from PoR , and Life Returns from PoR are my top four favorite video game music pieces of all time. ETERNAL BOND FTW.

I've played most FE games on friend's consoles, but right now I am addicted to Shadow Dragon. In fact, I'm playing it this very moment. Are the guys above serious? The game is awesome! The graphics are good, the music surpasses any expectations I might've had easily, the cast is likable... I don't know, maybe they don't like turn-based games, but I love them when they're done right. I like FE even more than FF Tactics. Yep, definitely a great series.

Agreed! FE is my number one series and I only started playing it last summer. I want Shadow Dragon so bad, but it isn't released until March. >_>

Yep, shadow dragon is very addictive, currently on my thirth play trough, trying to unlock all the scenes. Still have to begin with hard tho. how many star difficulty does everybody recommend to start with?

Yeah I like Seth and Ephraim too. Seth makes an awesome pre-promoted Paladin.

I am looking forward to playing Fire Emblem Thracia 766...once I find a good translation patch.

Oh man AGREED. Ike kicks major ass! Aether ftw! Not to mention he's hawt, strong, and has such a cool personality. Not only is he the passionate hero, but he's reckless, naive, and so funny when he exposes his hate for nobility. XD

Oh, and the best FE quotes EVER are:

Shinon: Gatrie, I swear you'd hit on a tree if I dressed it in a skirt! Tell me I'm wrong!

Ike: Shinon wouldn't tell me he smelled smoke if I was on fire.

Boyd is hilarious, Oscar is just a straight up awesome guy, Elincia is one kickass female, and I can't choose between Seth and Ephraim.

I think Ike is smexy and this is coming from someone who is asexual. Ike does indeed says funny things.

Ike sucks. Sigurd and Hector are the best Fire Emblem lords.

Sigurd from what I heard from others is pretty good Lord. I haven't played FE4 so I really don't know how good he is.

But overall Ike so far is the best lord IMO.
