Also of note is the remake of Starry Moonlit Night/Moonless Starry Night (Original found here; such a beautiful song). Believe me, I'm right there with ya when it comes to ye olde FFCC music.

This game looks like Final Fantasy blended with Zelda. I'm really looking forward to it!

Famitsu review: 7/8/7/8

Wow. I just. I mean, I don't even.

Kinda has me a little worried to be honest. I don't see how this game could be the 7 quality from Famitsu. Even though Famitsu reviews don't mean anything, URGH.

Still buying it though. Hopefully Famitsu just didn't get Square-Enix's check.

At the same time, I'm not going to play the "Well those are small complaints!!" game. I did that with Star Ocean IV's reviews, which all listed the stupidest complaints ever, but it turns out the game was actually rated what it was because it completely sucked.

Well, they are a very Eastern-centric magazine, and this certainly seems like it's trying to appeal to a more Western audience, both in the aesthetics and the actual gameplay. A 15-20 hour story definitely isn't 'average' in these parts of the world anymore, that's more like double or even triple the average.

Also, this is the same magazine which recently game Monster Hunter Tri a 40/40. While I'm very excited for that game am sure it'll be great, I highly doubt it's deserving of a perfect score. Nevermind the fact that they're complaining about the camera in CB, but they don't seem to mind any of the control hiccups that are present in the Monster Hunter franchise.

I'm not expecting a killer ap out of this game, but I still think we'll see something in the 8-8.5 range

About an 8 overall is what this game looks like it'd get (based on nothing more than a hunch, really). I'd be surprised if it got better, but I'd also be surprised if it got much lower.

It could very well be a sleeper hit, like Demon's Souls.

The music posted on the previous page is ****ing amazing. I especially love the rearrangement of Starry Moonlit Night.

I'm buying this on day one, regardless of sales and reviews.

The trailer looked good to me, and the music was distant enough.

I'm not passing any kind of judgment on this until I see some Western impressions.

Japan's just a whole different monster now, boys. Their tastes =/= anything else in the world. This game's obviously got a Western vibe to it, and if it actually does play anything like a console Zelda then this thing was screwed before it was even released. The Japanese simply aren't as interested in these types of console games anymore, which will explain these crap sales.

Does this one play like the first? I liked the first one, but it did get annoying doing the same stuff over and over.

No, not even close, it's totally different.
If you want something closer to the first game, try out the DS games. They're not exactly the same either, but they're much closer, as they are multiplayer-based and this is single-player.

I'm not writing it off either. Even if it's 15 hours or whatever people say, it's not like that means the 15 hours it lasts won't be incredibly fun. I'm a little less excited, but only because I know the story won't be as epic as I imagined.

I actually liked the bouncer as a kid (LOL.)
