Re: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers New Trailer

Not sure I'm a big fan of only having one character and the Wild West thing they seem to be pushing on this one, but I'll keep an eye out.

Tales of Graces is what I am eager about rite now!

Re: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers New Trailer

We need more games with a wild west setting. The closest game I have to being wild west is Twilight Princess because of its Hidden Village shootout (I really liked the idea; hopefully the next Zelda will flesh this idea out more).

Just because of one trailer song...=p, I dont think they're pushing any wild west thing here. Btw, new image of health bar and...I geuss thats the gravity grip bar on the upper right. Not groundbreaking but it's something new.

It iz here

About the prologue, not much is mentioned there besides of what we know. IE Yuke race existed thousends of years ago, but their existence was forgotten over time. How there was a war between the Lilties and the Yukes, the first one who would destroy the crystal of the other race. Yukes had strong magic at their side but the Lilties managed to destroy the Yukes's crystal first and thus the Yukes appearance disappeared from the world (not sure in what way disappeared, it didn't mention death). And the present where blades have been exchanged for firearms. Magic's existence has been forgotten. And in order for the Lilties to use the power of the Crystals, they ask for skilled people and they support them (Okay, I'm lost here now lol)

From playing FFCC on the gamecube, do they mean that small Yuke village that was hidden? That they hid themselves from the world? Or was that a different time?

Re: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers New Trailer

So, then, to my understanding, the plotline goes:
FFCC:RoF -> FFCC -> FFCC:CB
I have no idea where Echo of Time is, since I haven't played it (although I've only played RoF very briefly as well, but you go to a thriving town called Rebena Te Ra, which is an ancient, ruined village in the original CC).

I like the world they created for Crystal Chronicles, so it'd be interesting to see what it's like with more technology. At first glance you'd expect it to be weird, but it actually seems like it fits alright.

Are those last two...Lilties? :O If so, wow...they look so freaking awesome.

The more and more I hear about this game, the more excited I get.

Also, maybe Echoes of Times fits in after FFCC but before CB. The Yukes are still around and stuff, but I haven't played it either so I wouldn't know.

The shorthaired blonde girl reminds me of Xelha from Baten Kaitos slightly.

What's with all of the tall lilties? Anyway, I'm more hyped for this game now. All of the new info sounds great.

At any rate, I just can't express how excited I am for this game. I am so glad to see that the Selkies, Lilties, Clavats, and Yukes look all mature and stuff. I am definitely going to buy this the day it comes out.

Re: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers New Trailer

I'm getting more and more impressed with this game. I watched the "prologue" trailer just to see if it kept pace with my expectations. I'm really enjoying the stylistic touches in this game like the ripples coming from the airship and the swimming pool on its deck- gives a real-world touch while still keeping the fantasy feel. The character designs aren't groundbreaking or breathtaking, but they still look great.

I'll be watching for a release date, but I want to steer clear of any more info until this thing comes out.

The Japanese website is sweet, I swear I heard the classic FF title screen music in the background. This game will be made of win.

Like I said in the E3 thread, this game looks wonderful! I'm much more excited for this title than FFXIII. I guess this is more my cup of tea.

And I like the voice acting!

I'm certainly more excited for XIII, but this nonetheless looks pretty darn great; I was sceptical after that last trailer, but excitement has risen in me again.

*watches E3 trailer*

Holy Crap, this game is beginning to look fun. I've enjoyed the first FFCC but haven't played any of the others. But I think I'll get this game.

There's some gameplay here.
I like the world they set up; looks like a lot of fun to explore.
I can't wait to read some more impressions on this game.

Re: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers New Trailer

Well, at least we have a release date! I remember seeing this game in the Upcoming Section of Nintendo Power ever since...2005 or something ridiculous like that.

But I can't complain. The game looks awesome and I'm loving everything I'm seeing.

GameTrailers has a Developer's Walkthrough of the E3 demo. Most definitely on my E3 To Watch list!
