Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers New Trailer

Okay, so I'm confused.. What is this game exactly? I keep seeing different trailers for games that looks completely different. How many new Final Fantasy games are coming? This looks nothing like the last trailer I saw.

And seriously, this doesn't look that good at all. The beginning was dreadful.

Amongst the huge amount of other Final Fantasy games that recently came out.

Aw...the beginning trailer music is a bit disappointing to me, especially considering how Kumi Tanioka did an excellent job with the OST for FFCC (at least, in my opinion). And the gameplay seems a bit...weird, to be honest, but I'll just have to wait and see. I really love the original FFCC, but so far this looks nothing like it. :\

HOWEVER, the story seems like it will be pretty awesome.

Man, its hard to see threads when your rushing to school...GKANG... :: writes assasination plans:: Anyways, I can see a lot of people really hating on the music buy honestly...I dont think they'd allow a game with this type of ambience to be playing much...I'm sure the other tracks are better. xD

Anyways, eh... its a nice use of the wii's controlls, and I am interested in that platforming, but when it comes to FF I perfer my blade to anything else. Forcing ESP on the player seems like an iffy tactic to me... but despite how much I hate esp, I cant say I'm not excited for this game. It keeps up crystal chronicle's appearance quite well, and the solo focus intreuges me. But I geuss they thought, "Dood, we're already putting out two versians of mutiplayer goodness of this series...its time to try something else". Mmmh, cant wait to hear more.

The game looks pretty promising, though I am still trying to grasp the battle system...
But the story seems interesting enough!
The music in the beginning was a tad... Interesting, but other than that it seems quite fun!
I'm pretty excited for this game!

Most likely being the biggest Crystal Chronicles fan ever (First one was released on my birthday, got it that day and didn't go to school for a week! ), I'm incredibly excited for this game, the battle system looks like tonnes of fun and it actually seems to have a story that you don't have to scrutinize find, which is a big plus.

I still hope it has multiplayer, to make up for the failure that the Wii version of Echoes looks to be.

Does anyone else think the CC games have some really incredible environments? That's one of my favorite things about them.

For a while, I thought the original CC had the best-looking water I've ever seen in a game. I still love looking at it.

Wow, that's some dedication!

And I agree about the environments. It's one of the main reasons why I keep going back to River Belle Path, and why I just love walking around the Fields of Fum and the Jergon River (well...the music is a big part of the reason, too XD).

I enjoyed CC!
I was quite angry at the multi player, however, using the GBA's as the controllers... Why couldn't they just have used regular two controllers?
So, playing multiplayer was quite hard for me considering most of the people who wanted to play it with me... Didn't have their GBAs anymore...
But if they're going to do an online... (Even though this'll never happen) I think friend codes should go... Or else it wouldn't really be too great.

Heh, I mean, you do know about echos of time right? Online play with anyone, anywhere, anytime anyplace, any nintendo console...well...the wii and DS, but whatever. But if you just mean this game...lol, I think its just going to be singleplayer.

Well... That's good though that they're improving on the online! That makes me happy!

The official website is up! It has possibly the best rendition of the overture ever as well. It's the what the Crystal Theme was to Final Fantasy VII.

Speaking of music, I hope the soundtrack is as amazing as the original CC's was, it was it's best feature by a long long way.

The time in kyoto is an hour off on the site...lol. So why do they have the times for various places anyway? Is that some kind of square enix message? Or do they just want to make the site less blank?

Yes, yes, yes!!! Does anyone know if Kumi Tanioka is in charge of the music for Crystal Bearers? Her music in the original FFCC is just BEYOND amazing, and I would love to see her back CB.

I'm glad to see others liking the FF:CC soundtrack! I thought it was amazing too, and I'm always amazed at how many people hate it. Also, I don't know how good the DS games' music is, but it cannot sound as good as the GC one.

I highly doubt this game will feature the same style of music, since, as we've seen, it is a vastly different kind of CC game, in a different kind of setting. I'm expecting more adventurous music from what we've seen so far, rather than the folk-ish music.

Speak of the devil, I'm listening to it right now. This was probably (Princess Glitter Fairy said) the best part of FFCC for me. The sound track is by far one of the best of any videogame soundtrack to date, some of the orchestrations are simply phenomenal. "When the Northern Skies Are Clear" and "Unite, Descent" are probably my two favorite tracks.

Nothing can beat Amidatti And Eleonor Too though.

Sadly, I've read that Kumi Tanioka will not be composing Crystal Bearers. Instead the main composer will be Hidenori Iwasaki who worked with Kumi on the original GameCube game and I guess from the website's music that the music will keep that Celtic feel so fear not!
