Very positive previews, lots of development time, real effort from the actual developer, being associated with their successful franchises etc.

There's a lot more you can use to back up why a game's good, than why a game is better than another, especially if they're of different genres. Often times, your personal preference doesn't mean **** when it comes to whether or not a game is good. I don't like Mass Effect, but there's no way to say that it's a bad game.

On the contrasting hand, I have a slight weakness for Hey You Pikachu! (please don't laugh) and that doesn't mean it is a good game. Good and bad should be independant of your personal tastes, but rather judged by the actual quality of the game.

I know the Wii will sell the most this generation, that is undeniable. The thing is like Yami stated most people will buy it, and it will then become just an ordinary appliance. I know I bought mine on release day, with hopes that I would love the thing. About a year later I had to switch over to PS3, because my Wii was just getting 0 hours of play.

Everyone always mentions the 360's online play. Do you realize the PS3's isn't that far behind, all for the price of free? In a couple of more updates I believe MS will have to lower their price on XBL if they see how well their competitor is doing.

Highly doubtful. Xbox LIVE has a ridiculous amount of users. And, quite frankly, the PS3's online service is the least thing Sony needs to worry about. An improved service will help sales, but only by a small margin. It won't be the thing to push the threshold for the PS3 over the top of the 360.

The PS3 has a rumored price cut coming up on the horizon, which will help tremendously. Devs are now getting used to programming for the PS3, so I would expect to see move exclusives coming out on it as well. If Uncharted 2 is any evidence of what this system is actually capable of, then I see no reason as to why it won't outsell the 360 eventually.

Look at all these very bad bands that are selling millions?

I'm not saying the Wii is bad, the Wii is great. A lot of the games just aren't as challenging as the other consoles games. I play Wii and my friends house and it is fun... but, none of the games are a REALLY good challenge.

Some people say the 360 is the best, yet, it isn't selling more then the Wii. Some people say the PS3 is best, and its behind both consoles.

Just because the Wii is selling the best it doesn't mean its the best console.

But, we have our own opinions of course.

Did you not read the very first line of my thread which specifically stated this to be a SALES PREDICTION?

And the second line which stated that thequality of the consoles were irrelevant to my prediction?

I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to all the others who keep bringing up how much the Wii is selling.

I know we are talking about sales. But, all I am saying is the best selling console doesn't make it the best. Of course, it could all be my opinion. I enjoyed GC and Xbox WAY more then PS2 but the PS2 is probably the worlds best selling console. Or at least the fastest.
